Hey, people,

I was wondering this for a while now...

JAOTW was top of the chart at one point, so many of my friends actually bought the album, who previously didn't know who Scooter was. And Scooter only did Clubland event in UK, yeah?

If chart topping album is not good enough for them to do a full tour, then what is? :?: :?:

Their album is on its way, probably in May or June, because all the dates announced already are probably to promote the new album. And they start a full tour in UK? or somewhere else, and will continue this till next year... is what I can foresee.

Indeed, you can't do better than a chart topping album, and it also soled very well because it got platinum, so there should be lot's of people interested to go and see them live. Certainly not every buyer will go, but if you sell such an amount to get platinum there should be atleast enough interested for a few medium sized gig's of around 2000-3000 persons to be soled out, when promoted correctly.

I would be interested to visit an UK concert, it's easier to travel to the UK by car and much nearer ,than to travel to Ireland. I think I might go to a gig if it will be in the south-east / south area of the UK around the weekend. :)

yes there were two topics, tuna, about the album going number one and going platinum. i guess that's why a tour is in the pipeline.

if such a tour were to happen i would promote the f**k out of it. If i were i receive flyers i could post them up everywhere. I could get the NIA in Birmingham a big crowd I'm sure.

There are so many ways to advertise being in the student union.

mmm, well, my question was,

why didn't they do the tour then?

and let this scooter fever to die down?

I think autumn 2009 might be too late to do UK tour. Last year was better time to do that, but that didn't happen, why?

I can only guess people(to cover all involved) assumed the album wouldn't do so well and where caught out.

I mean in 13 albums how many where released in the uk and/or made the charts never mind number 1.

I think that there was not a UK tour earlier because there was the 2 Clubland tours - and these proved how popular Scooter now are here.

It was the first Clubland tour that bought them back to the attention of the UK audience (hence the number 1 album following) - I don't think there can be any doubt about that - if AATW had not included Scooter in the first Clubland tour I doubt the album would have done so well for the simple reason that no-one would have heard it (at least not the record buying majority).

Scooter headlining the second Clubland tour, and the success of that proves that they now have a very big following here.

In answer to tuna's question about why didn't they tour when the album was number 1 is probably that it takes quite a long time to arrange a big tour, and Clubland 2 was already planned - I think a Scooter own tour is the next step to follow on from 2 sucessful appearances at Clubland, and the promoters (AATW) were able to see their reception and make the decision to go for a full tour. To arrange a big tour is not a decision that can be taken lightly, as its probably quite a costly thing to arrange, and I guess ATTW needed to be sure of what they were doing. :)

I know that in the past I have ocassionally been critical of AATW, but I am in no doubt that we UK fans have a lot to thank them for, if it had not been for there decision to include Scooter in the first Clubland tour I think that unfortunately Scooter would still be relatively unknown here, because no matter how good music is it need exposure - and with something like 14 appearances in the UK in less than a year AATW and Clubland TV have helped that to happen.

I have faith in Scooter to make the best music 8) :D , and in AATW to keep that music alive in the UK :)

that is true, as far as i'm aware radio 1 have only played a Scooter track once by choice (JTR) and they slated it. Clubland TV has helped Scooter become a huge success over here.

My feelings are still that Flip & Fill are the main reason for them going onto Clubland TV because of their inclusion on Clubland 12 so I thank them dearly for that :D

I don't mind if its not a big tour over here as the dance scene in the UK is so different to Europe so 3 or 4 gigs of a medium size would suit me nicely. After all, 2 years ago we were just praying for Scooter to perform here at all. What more do I need?

Yeah, I would be interested in seeing a gig in the UK, as well. Time will tell if I'll have any money at that time, but it'd be great to see them for example in London or something. :D At least the flights would be a lot cheaper than to Germany, for example.
 This is a signature.

That's true, we really have to thank AATW for what they did, they might have done some things wrong, but overall they helped Scooter to be back in the UK again, so succesfull as never before. 8) And I think the jumpstyle helped Scooter also very much to gain the interest from the UK people.

Very confusing...... :?

On Sunday I had the cancellation email and call about Killarney, but they didn't mention Castlebar - I never really gave it a second thought....

...but a few minutes ago tonight I had an "event reminder" about the Castlebar gig"taking place on Sunday 15th" :? :( I know the date has been changed, but this could be confusing for anyone who doesn't :?

What are Ticketmaster doing???

I guess its an oversight, or lack of information - but for anyone who hasn't read about the changes here or anywhere else its not good - they could still think the gig is happening on Sunday :?

I had the same reminder on Dublin. I haven't tried it, but I bet you can still buy tickets, too!

Ticket Master still hasn't contacted me about the cancellation, wonder why... and have not changed Ryan tickets yet...

Hows everyone's plans? All cancelled / changed?
