UK release of JTR moved - now the 15/12/08

Scooter - Release Date Change
Posted: 31st Oct 2008 14:46
Scooter vs Status Quo - Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want) was released digitally on Monday. However, for reasons which will hopefully become clearer nearer the time the release has been put back to the 15th of December.

You can still pre-order the track from 7 Digital online or via SMS:

Pre-order the Radio Edit on 7Digital for 50p
To Preorder by SMS for 50p, txt SCOOTER to 78789

Don't forget Scooter are appearing live on the Clubland Live 2 tour at the end of November. Tickets have been selling like hotcakes for weeks and Belfast, Manchester, Glasgow and Aberdeen are very close to completely selling out so if you want tickets for those dates get onto the ticket sites and see what's still available sooner rather than later!

Strange at very short notice, AATW must be going all out for Xmas no1? My CD is already shipped from HMV.

Strange...
Maybe in order to have the "after-Clubland" effect to boost the sales ?

I wonder what are those reasons. :?: New Scooter album in January? :D I'm only joking, though.

Anyways great to hear the tickets have been selling well, nice to see some packed crowds for Scooter. 8)
 This is a signature.

WTF?! How does that work then?

Many of us that pre-ordered from HMV have got our copies, so will those sales be used for the charts when it's properly released? Or will they just go to nothing?

I can't understand how they can despatch a single then put the release date back??

It's very strange. I did think something was up this week when the download sales didnt appear in the midweek as JAOTW charted on downloads alone previously. I'm thinking that they won't count them until the official release?

Very strange - and as quite a few copies must have been despatched (it was number 7 in the HMV.com bestsellers), I would guess that its going to spread very quickly illegally now.

Also add that Quo are releasing their own first ever Christmas single this year - I am suprised that this could be competition for that :? :?

I do hope the copies I have bought count towards the sales when it is released - I always try to buy all the copies I need in the first week

I had hopes it would reach the top 10.

I now have doubts it will get in the top 40.

As mentioned, HMV have sent out alot of CDs, so soon it will be illeagaly uploaded onto download sites, aswell as on the platinum edition of the album. So not many people at all will be buying the single.

Shame really. I think it had potential to be a chart topper. :|

This is really stupid...
Why did they send out the singles when they're changing the date?

In this case they can release "I'm Lonely" as well, as it firstly was planned & don't move release of the album.

I doubt they will release I'm Lonely - it never charted as a download - I didn't even see it in the iTunes Top 100 :(

I was really hoping JTR was going to be a big hit - I am really curious as to the reason for the delay :?

EDIT - I see it's not available on iTunes any longer now either :?

I doubt that will happen as they have already produced the CD's.

As far as I can see Im Lonely didnt make the top 200 when out on download, probably because it appeared on the album.
