I Do Not Care (3)

Hello,

I am a member since the end of 2006 (formerly known as Dave-The-Track-Attacker) and I like Scootertechno.com and it's forum very much. Daily I am visiting the forum as an active member. But I got one problem with scootertechno.com, it's news policy.

-New updates are almost not available
-If news are available then we know them already since days
-Other none-scooter related sources got news about scooter before we does
-We get new news almost everytime from other sources

I do not want to exaggerate but this bothers me in a big way. Scootertechno.com is the official Scooter website and the websites of their fans so scootertechno.com should be the first with new informations and not websites like Viva or diverse music websites.

In 2006/2007 the news updates have been more often and mostly before other websites announced it but more and more the news updates seem to get forgotten.

It sound's a bit childish but I think we, the fans, should be the first to get new news about Scooter and it's releases and it makes me, as a Scooter Fan, a little bit dissapointed that we get not the attention we should get.
It makes me dissapointed that we are kind of third-rate as fans. At least I got the feeling.

I hope someone who is responsible for this will read this and will make a change.
If they are not allowed to / or not willing to announce new news to us first they should at least tell us why so that we could understand the bad news updates occuring the last months.

Do not get me wrong, It is not Scooter who makes us third classed fans, it is the person who is responsible for this homepage and its news update and this is not Scooter. I am sure they have nothing to do with the news section itself.

Please reply to this topic, perhaps we can change something the more peoples do agree. We have to show them that we are not agreeing this news policy and we are bothered with it.

May I not exagerate and add this :

*Discography NOT UP TO DATE !!! Very unprofessionnal !!!

*Tour pics missing from many dates !!!

(Then the pics are very bad. I suggested like twice to Ricky to cover a show with my professional gear, what's new about it ? ;) )

Cause you think it's just a feeling ? I hope I don't get banned for saying this, but we're the third class, the fans are considered as lowest class... But without fans, bands are nothing...

would be nice to hear news here first I agree as this is the official site of Scooter :)

...but I don't agree that fans are classed as the lowest class :? - I think the balance between what news goes to commercial partners and what is released where and when is a very difficult balance to make without causing problems ..... and I really don't have any doubt (and never have had) that the band have the highest regard for their fans :) - my feeling is that they really do care for fans - but Kontor also work in a commercial world - will always be difficult and probably impossible to please everyone - but please never ever doubt that Scooter value their fans :)

I know you did not mean that Scooter regard their fans in any way but positive - but just wanted say (again) that my opinion of the band is that they really do care. :)

I also don't think that anyone actually has a policy about the release of news etc - it seems to me to just be the way the communications through the music industry work - but no-one deliberately excludes fans

I agree 100% that it would be wonderful if the first people to hear any news were the real fans who look at the band official site everyday - I don't know why that is not the way it is - but then I don't work full time in the music industry - but I do know a few of the "Kontor crew" and I do know that no-one deliberately excludes fans from info..... they are all great people

Yeah this is a big problem. We always hear news somewhere else before here. Even samples of their new singles we hear other places. Very disapointing.

Yes, it bothers me too... :?

In he discography section there haven't been an update since JAOTW was released, and there's no lyrics to find since Excess All Areas...

+ what TFD mentioned, there's almost no updates now, we got news about the possible new single's name from another site, and there's nothing to find about the (possible) release of the single and the HOS project.

I really think that we, as the fans, should be the first ones to get all the news from the off. news site, and not from other sources. :?

The Discography seems to be built by people, which were bored and just wanted to have some fun.

I voted the first option.

I guess someone of Kontor made this website about Scooter, so I think it should be up to date, about the concerts, photo's etc etc.....

I think we are lucky that aem shares things with us here - I think that official announcements need much more approval to go on the site news :)

I wish we'd get news before others but then again as soon as it's released on the forum it'll be spread around the internet anyway.

I also wish there was a fanpics section. On the UK Posse bebo site we have a photo stream where fans can add their own pics to the site.

I would love a band representative on the forum. Maybe not one of the members but someone who is VERY closely linked with the band.

Overall, I love the forum and I'm glad it's up here. Not too many ways the forum itself could be improved. I've been on many forums in the past and this forum has the nicest bunch of people in the world. And some of us have actually met as well.
