About album 'Sheffield'

What do you guys think about that album actually? I've understood that Scooter guys itself don't like the sound of it. I think it's a great album even though it sounds a bit different than Scooter usually does. There are many great songs like 'Don't gimme the funk' and also the best cover song they've made 'Sex dwarf'. (OK, that's my opinion, so some one can feel different...) :)

I love it ... it's probably my second favourite album behind Wicked!

I wouldn't say that it is one of their better albums, but, as with any Scooter album, it has some truly awesome tracks. Don't Gimme the Funk is definitely the best! :D

I also like the tracks that were mentioned. And also Cubic is very nice for chilling. I don´t understand why they don´t like it that much. Anyway, after deciding that they have to change something there were many wicked new tracks, don´t you think?

It's a good Album. The best track is Summer Wine. Also cool tracks are Space Cowboy and Sex Dwarf. The only track, I don't like is Don't gimme the Funk.

They don't like the sound of it, yet it's their most interesting and varied ever. Classic tunes, banging tunes, breakbeat, chilled out trance and chilled out ballads. (probably my fave album at the mo)

I hope this doesn't mean they don't like experimenting, and instead prefer the straight-and-narrow sounds like BTTHJ and TSTE - as I wouldn't particularly like to see another one like those. But it's still better than other artists, I mean a quality album every year, who else does that? (that's why being a Scooter fan is so much better)
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

Nice to hear that you think also the same way than me about this album. For me it's the most atmospheric (is this a REAL English word or is it my own word???) one among Scooter albums, added to my fave Wicked! of course! It always brings back the memories from Scooter gig during the midsummer in 2000... 8) It was 'Don't gimme the funk' that started their gig then!

Could it be so that Scooter doesn't like the album 'cause it doesn't sound like 'ordinary' Scooter? I mean those who are not potential fans already don't find it worth of listening? I'm just wondering...

And I would definitely think that 'Don't gimme the funk' is so Scooter sounded song there can be!! (Scooterisch!!!) :P :P :P

Really curious...

The 1st time I heard the Album I was a bit disappointed but after I have consumed it again and again it`s NOW my 2nd favourite Album after "We bring the Noise". "Sheffield" is perhaps the Album with the most experiences like "Summer Wine" , "Sex Dwarf" (both are really great) and the Bomfunk-Hommage "Never Slow Done"... Furthermore I really love "Don´t gimme the Funk"... I`m really sad, too that they don`t release it as a Single! Would be even better than the the worst SCOOTER-Single in my opinion "I`m your Pusher"

I hate to be the outsider here, but I don't like "Sheffield"

After the succes with "Back To The Heavyweight Jam" I was very disappointed when "Sheffield" came out.

lol ... i couldn't be anymore different. I think BTTHJ is distinctly average whereas i think Sheffield is great.

Sheffield has so much variety but, imho, BTTHJ is just pretty much the same all the way through. Only Faster Harder Scooter and I'll Put You On The Guestlist are up to the usual standards.
