Really sweet Andrea, nice pic. Next holiday I must go to Sweden.

OK Posse, back to topic. After hearing samples I thought JAOTW is the first LP I wouldnīt buy. At wednesday I was in store. After hearing the whole tracks I must say itīs better then the first opinions. But not so good to say itīs one of the best.
After first hearing there are three tracks that really kicked my ass: Enola Gay, Marian and Lighten up the sky.
Intro and outro I doesnīt like.
JAOTW and Iīm lonely are better as I thought. Nice tracks. But I mean in both tracks there are parts that doesnīt fit together.
Iīm really surprised about Neverending story. Itīs a really good track. Cambodia and Whistling Dave are to boring for my taste.
All in one, album has nice moments and tracks, but to similar and I like the basic approach to say Scooter has one or two tracks and for whole album they cover this two tracks time and time again because my impression is that in nearly every track there are parts and sounds that are in other tracks too.
MASSIV MENTAL SHOUTS TO THE WHOLE SCOOTER-POSSE FROM THE MAGIC VOICE OF NOISE!!!

This is it then

To be honest I felt that Scooter had some hope lately. TUAO was in my opinion already better than WGTLLN and later I heard the live-version of Trance-Atlantic and Orchestral version of Stripped. But then I heard The Question...

Let's make it clear that it's not Scooter I hate here now, it's jumpstyle generally. It begun already far before The Question when I heard Jeckyll & Hyde for the first time. In my opinion it just sounds like über-commercial hardstyle. It has cheesy melodies and it pretends to be hard and tough... One good thing is that at least Scooter choose red line this time.

I feared that the whole album would be jumpstyle after I saw the title of the album but hoped for trance & house tracks, but my hope was for nothing. This album is full of jumpstyle-bollocks and what is more ridiculous, HPV is pithced far too high. And I don't like that melody-type either.

What makes me sad is that there is Scooter I love hidden in the album. It has energy and certain a-parts (And No Matches & I'm Lonely for an example) with H.P. shouts are exactly what Scooter can do best. Also there are some catchy melodies (like Enola Gay has). But it seems that it all has been lost for marketing trick and easy arrangements. It has sounds that every FL-user could use and to be honest, this album sounds like it's made in hurry which is no wonder when thinking how fast this album was made.

So here we are. It's by far the worst album what Scooter have done but it has the most potential I have heard from Scooter in a long time. What still annoys me is that Scooter uses so much "inspirsed" melodies in their music. Like they focus on finding the fitting melodies the others have done for their basslines or something. To be honest that thing didn't surprise me at all.

I guess that I have to blame Kontor Records and Jens Thele. Is jumpstyle Scooter loves? I don't think so. And it surely isn't Michael Simon since all his productions before Scooter were electrohouse. So it seems like Kontor noticed the success of Freefall and wanted to make something similar and of course Scooter was good ground to test if it works... And it was success and now we have complete album of bollocks.

And I want dub mix for Marian. It has awesome melodies but H.P. still can't sing.

3/10

Ace tracks:
Enola Gay (barely)
Waiting for albums from Way Out West, Sasha, Second Sun, Airwave, BT, Quivver, Pendulum, Solarstone, Röyksopp and Massive Attack

The definition
Weird. But not relevant because it's only an intro
6/10

Sure, but donīt you think the intros have become worse and worse? Compare this intro to the Habibi Halua on WBTN and Ignition on TSTE. The Definition isnīt building anything up, itīs just stupid.

Actually, itīs alsmost embarrassing if you read the small booklet:

"All tracks written and produced by HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Michael Simon and Jens Thele except this song written by XXX, and that song written by YYY and this song written by ZZZ..." That sums it up, really. I count eight songs written by others. And then you have the intro and the outro. So, thereīs three songs left and the Tetris theme is of course ripped. Whatīs left? Does Scooter produce anything whatsoever or are they so damned busy ripping others that they donīt have any time for it?

my review follows:

First of all i must note that the worst thing all the tracks share more or less is that stupid typical Jumpstyle beats and claps....

1. Intro :This is funny perhaps but at the same time an inapt intro track for a dance/jumpstyle album. =4/10

2.Jumping all over the world: This is not what i wanted as a main start off track.not so powerful ,still the synth instrument part got the potential.the h.p part don't fit in with the chorus at all IM. Also the crowd shouting is cool 7/10
3.the question is what is the question? ...argh...listen to this rarely since the single version. 3/10
4.Enola gay: nice choice of ripped melody indeed! and the HPV sounds cool but it's not much diverse. 7/10

5.Neverending story : very nice HP part ,groovy kick off and the HPV is the kind i like to hear. Also it'd be more lively if it wasn't jumpstyle.... 9/10

6.And no matches : A better made version of the question...my favorite single of chapter 4 as well as LUT. 9/10

7.Cambodia : pretty good instrumental track..the main melody is kind of hilarious! 8/10

8.I'm Lonely: Powerful start a-part really, and after that the HPV is very catchy gotta love it! and the synth it's fresh and sounds great in my ears! 10/10

9.Whistling Dave : i felt in love with this tune after hearing the sample.now, makes me cheery..love its whistling! 9/10

10.Marian(version): Can i give this one a 11 rating?! This song is simply awesome!... 11/10! H.P's got a good talent of poetry indeed.cheers!...the german part especially just WOW!!!!!!!

11.Yet another instrumental...harder than the others it does sound. It is capable of blowing up the speakers!....somehow reminds me of DJ Pavo's works .it has very nice melody too ,with a fitting build up .pity it's short. 6/10

12.Sounds similar to the preceding track when starting off ,IMO...cheerful funny melody...repetitive. 5/10

13. The greatest difficulty : hmm...nice h.p's shouts and heavy beats  nah...it's a joky track nothing else indeed so 1/10!
....
My first favorite chapter 4 album(TUAO was not bad )... would give it hmm 8/10 8)

Edit- changed my review a bit.
If there's one thing in this world that won't die out,it is definitely the sound of love.

Hi!

This is my first post here :) To begin with... i would like to say, that i'm very old fan of Scooter (long time with them, since early beginnings), and i do not want to offend anybody with my post...

New album... well i do not know why, but i think, Scooter is missing the point. Maybe the new sounds are catchy, they sell in good rate, but i'm missing the old times...

Don't get me wrong, new albums are good, although "there's something missing"...

I've started my journey with Scooter from No Time To Chill... amazing album! It was just great to hear H.P on every (well, almost every) song, without Pitched Voice. Then it was Back to The Heavyweight Jam, Sheffiled and We bring the Noise.... Every albums was worth to pay for it!

And today, while listening to the new album, i was looking on the old ones from Scooter's Discography (on the website).

The Ultimate Aural Orgasm, Mind the Gap, Who's Got The Last Laugh Now?, and i wonder.... "what the hell are titles on these albums, i do not remeber anything, any song, although i've listen to all of them"...

while i still remember everything from No Time To Chill, Back to the Heavyweight Jam, We Bring the Noise... every song, every word, every sound.... they're AWESOME!

Why Scooter cannot back to those times? To those rhymes, words, sounds etc? Songs like How Much is The Fish, We're the Greates, Everythings Borrowed, Expecting more from Ratty, Posse I need you on the floor, Devil Drums, Remedy, Acid Bomb, or titles from Sheffield and Back to the Heavyweight Jam...

Don't get me wrong, i like the new album /i've already bought it/, but its still not the Scooter's style imo.

The best song from current album is MARIAN, which reminds me of "Expecting more from Ratty", "Everythings Borrowed"... just simply the GREATEST songs from the BRILLIANT albums.

The rest? good, but not good enough :(

Welcome to the forum! I can't say much about the new album because I haven't got it yet. :( But yes, old albums are good. They got the ''Scooter-power'' or whatever it is. Propably old tunes wouldn't sell so much, but I'm sure many bit older fans would love them. :) We have to just hope for bit older tunes and if there won't come any we just have to wait and listen to the old stuff. :(

Welcome fellow 2nd chapter fan :) Pretty much I agree with everything, it's the true Scooter power that is missing. Albums like No Time To Chill, We Bring The Noise and Sheffield will always stay as an evidence that Scooter were producing incredible music back then.

I've already told more or less my opnion about the new album but here is a complete review.

1. Intro : not comment, just bad = 1/10

2.Jumping all over the world: This could have been a kick a.ss track but the first melody coming is just childish. The HPV is good !! ...the melo is quite simple but good. What i dislike is that the 2nd part is 100% the same as the 1st one. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V too bad. If this is the third single i hope there will some improvements. = 6/10

3.the question is what is the question? HP parts are very good (music and lyrics) but the chorus is too long and very simple melody = 5/10

4.Enola gay: This one is really weak. For an instrumental track, why ripping a well known song ? The melody just doesnt fit to the tracks. "Skip" button = 4/10

5.Neverending story : very good HP parts again (lyrics, music). The little seq behind HP kicks ass and the chorus comes....awful as the HPV-related melody...then HP parts which is excellent. Why putting this HPV part ? They could make any kind of melody or just delete the HPV parts. It ruins all the track!!! 6/10

6.And no matches : Quite the same as the Question. Same good points, same drawbacks so, 5/10

7.Cambodia : Once again, why putting this ultra well known melody ? Any kind of melo could have been used...doesn't fit good imo. Bad instrumental = 3/10

8.I'm Lonely: Again, great HP parts (music+lyrics) and the HPV is really the worst i've ever heard! Ok, so here it is : the song is ruined again by the HPV...why putting a HPV in almost all the tracks???? This song could have been a smash hit if they have deleted the HPV parts between HP parts and the melo = 5/10

9.Whistling Dave : I'm ok with it. Not good not bad. 6/10

10.Marian(version): My favorite track from the album. The german part sounds strange. A good one at least = 8/10

11.same kind of sounds than in Always Hardcore if i am right. Good beginning, good break but strange melo... :? 5/10

12.Very similar to the 11th tracks, the choice of the melo is not very good. Repetitive. 5/10

13. The greatest difficulty : same as intro 1/10!

Well, to sum up, an album ruined by the overuse of HPV and poor instrumentals tracks with overuse of more than well known melodies. As Quethas wrote, it seems that they were in a hurry to make the album.
. One of the worst album in Scooter's History...won't listen this one too much : (
. HP parts are really good : Better lyrics & music than on previous albums.

I like this album more than the previous one principally because it's more lively and features lesser H.P vocals overall in addition to the fact that there are 5 nice cheery instrumentals.I really miss trance nevertheless.
perhaps they've read the topic about H.P's vocals... :?:

It's time for me to write in this topic now when I have a moment to spare... :D I won't give grades to songs, it's too difficult for me.

The Definition: Surely different to any other Scooter intro, and interesting as such. Like its ending especially, calmy saying now jump. But it could have a bit more stuff going on, and on the next album I hope to hear one that gets the crowd insane -- compare this with the tour version of Lights Out -- cannot be compared. :D

Jumping All Over The World: As said often here, the beginning is great, I love the effect on HP vocals and they sound a bit aggressive as well. I like the whole song, and the quieter bass that gets going behind the HPV is nice. Not to mention the moment when the whole thing breaks loose after "all together now!". :D Great jump!

The Question Is What Is The Question: I still like this song, but it's my least favourite from this album, as often happens with the first single of an album.

Enola Gay: Very good instrumental, I like it a lot! Hardstyle baby! :D A beautiful track.

Neverending Story: One of the tracks I play most from this album. At first, when I heard the samples, I thought that ok, that high-pitched voice is too sugary, but soon I began to really like it. The track overall is great, and I love the HP lyrics. Mayfair, Edgeware, Leicester Square!

And No Matches: Powerful, with plenty of good HP lyric. I like it more than TQIWITQ, but the high-pitch verses could be a bit shorter.

Cambodia: It's interesting to hear Scooter's version of this track, and it's a great jump instrumental. Would've been glad to hear HP's singing on it, though. No complaints.

I'm Lonely: Perhaps my favourite one from the album, I just love this track! It's the effect you don't expect! Love the lyrics... High-pitch voice sounds great, and the part where it starts going "I'm Lonelyyy" and the part that starts after it finishes -- great!!

Whistling Dave: This was something I certainly didn't expect! Sounds very cool to me, and the guys themselves have sense of irony -- placing that "Game Over" sound in the end. ;)

Marian (Version): One of favourites, great track with cool HP vocals! Love him singing like this, and love to hear some darker sounding stuff. The bass in this makes my head wobble!

Lighten Up The Sky: High-octane roller coaster ride of beats and bass! I love this, it's hard, fast, and full of changes, moving forward and destroying everything on its path!

The Hardcore Massive: I like this one as well, the melody is fun. :D Sounds a bit like distorted organs or something.

The Greatest Difficulty: First time we have an outro. Well, this track is obviously a joke, but I like it.

Overall, this album is great, and in some other topic I gave it 9/10 as grade. I'd give the same now, too, but perhaps one day it rises to 10. Some small things could be better, perhaps, and I personally would've liked to hear more HP singing. They handle jumpstyle pretty well, and am very interested in seeing how the next album is going to sound, as it won't be jump. 8)
 This is a signature.

I think this is the best album made by scooter in many years. The best songs are
Im lonely (the best scooter song since nesseja and Ramp)
Neverending story ( great melodie and lovely HPV)
Jumping all over the world (a track that makes me happy)
No matches (Catchy song)
Enola gay (Good tune love the original also)
Cambodia ( ok track but dont last forever)
Whistling Dave (a bit strange but not that bad)
tqiwitq (Never been my favourite but i have learned to hear it now)
Rest on album is not my type of music.
But as u can see i am one the the fans that love HPV is back. so i say 8,5 out of 10
