I heard earlier that thousands of Japanese youngsters commit suicide because they can't handle the 1000 + signs, and the countless combinations, that the Japanese language consist of, and which they have to learn
this is ridiculous...
very educated japanese know like 500 to 600 kanji signs...
normal students like 200 signs and they are still fine with it...
I'm just telling what I've read. I don't know anything about the Japanese language.
But I know for sure that 1.000 different signs would be way too much for me, I wouldn't be able to learn all those, + the different combinations, by heart
