Except that German doesn't consist of strange signs :P

I heard earlier that thousands of Japanese youngsters commit suicide because they can't handle the 1000 + signs, and the countless combinations, that the Japanese language consist of, and which they have to learn 8|

Even if I grew up in China or Japan, I wouldn't be able to learn all those signs in a million years :whistling:
I'd probably be one of those who kills themselves because they can't handle it.

Last year in the school there was a Chinese guy, he translated a Chinese text in a museum.
He can speak Hungarian very good and he won a maths comp. I won there too in my category.
He could go to a secondary school. He is one of the lucky people who hasn't problems with it.

The ideal thing would be if at least every continent could have it's own language, but then the problem would be what of the existing languages one would choose, cos everyone would fight for their own.
Sounds fun, about the comp. :P

Well, english is used as main language in North-America, Australia and the UK.
So, if one got it as main language in South-America, spread it from the UK into Europe, Asia and Russia, and into all those small countries and islands everywhere else, it would be great :D

the japanese writing-system (do you call it like that?) consists of 45 hiragana and 46 katakana letters + an incredible huge amount (1000 and more) kanji letters. you can write japanese only with katakana or/and hiragana, but they use kanji for nouns. so you will have to learn the kanji letter for car, tree, lamp etc...
it's very hard to master this, but the japanese grammatic is simple as hell...
they have no future, only past and present and the sentences are built nearly identical and not that confusing like in german...
