20,000 copies -> PLATINUM

Well, the main reason I download so much music is because I simply CANNOT get the type of music I like anymore in Ireland!

All that I see nowadays in most Irish record shops is this F***ING R'n'B and hip hop shit that makes rave music artists look like geniuses and if there IS any dance music, its usually this fucking house/pop shit by some wierd artists who are never heard of again.

I don't, however, go onto p2p programs all the time, I might go on for a while, then log off again and I generally don't share my files ( expect maybe on PMs )

Oz_Scooter; sorry about your job but you must realise that this is the sad reality of the way things are going, like come on, look at all the rap shit around today... get my point, that would drive people to go and download some REAL music!

I have the same problem, techno style doesn't exist in France, except Daft Punk, David Guetta ... (I don't like them)
and when I see for example a Tunnel Trance Force compilation here, instead of 20€, it's more than 30€ !
But now I nearly only listen (and buy of course) to Scooter because I don't like music anymore, no more creativity, and rap & rnb invades the world !
I hate all those downloading programs but it's too easy and free to steal music like this, so people prefer of course this way !
For me, music begins to die, let's hope that they can find a way to change this !

Dear God of music.

Yes i admit i've been downloading music illegally, though it's mostly for checking the tunes out, but lately i haven't had a job and no money.
So i promise you, God of all music, that once i get a job, i will spend the money to buy the CDs i've downloaded and more CDs aswell. I want to start collecting Sash! and Dune and many other bands and projects, but i dont' have the capital right now. :(

Aaaamen!

what about downloading music that you'd never buy anyway?

I got to know Scooter because I borrowed RATAD from the library and made myself CDr copies

and did you know that 85% of the people who download music also go out and buy CDs?

For me it's also about the money. A friend of mine burns me cd's from bands I kinda like. The bands I really, really like, I buy cd's from, cause I want them with the original booklets and stuff. But what about those downloadsites where you have to pay? That's good for the band, but not the record stores, right?

I always downloading music from net, but I don't steal music.
I give an example: I download one Smashing Pumpkins albums - I listen to It few times, and... I'm lovin it!!! It's the best band on the world!!! Of course I buy original copy of that CD. And others SP albums too (It's the best band in the world!!!). I buy all music which I downloaded and like it. If I will download something which I will don't like after few listen times, I delete it from my PC.

PS. Hey, now everybody cares about stealing, so why you don't say anything about Scooter's stealing!!!???

I can not agree what you are saying often about Scooter, but I like what you are thinking about downloading.
If you buy it when you like it and that you delete it if you not like it, this more then fair for me. :D
It is nearly the same like we did in the past as we could borrow CD's in the shops where we can borrow video tapes.
At this time you could make nearly every CD on music tapes.

of course I go buy music if I like it - but sometimes it depends, if I can get the music at the shop, at cdon or whatever

will it be okay to download songs if you can't get it by other means?
