Body Combat, Body Pump etc

This is really addressed to Scooter themselves, but I wonder how they feel about their music being so widely used in the group fitness programs by Les Mills?

Basicallly for those unaware of what I'm talking about, Les Mills is a New Zealand company that licenses thousands of gyms around the world to teach their Group Fitness programs. In each of their programs, Scooter songs are widely used to teach their fitness routines. So thousands of people around the world are exposed to many Scooter songs while working out.

I would so love to know if Scooter has been to gyms in Germany and seen for themselves how their songs have been used for exercise classes?

Have you been to a Les Mills fitness class anywhere in the world and exercised to Scooter? Where?

I don't know about these classes but I've noticed as well that Scooter's songs are in heavy use in aerobic. It's because of the rhytm and the power. That's simple!

Scooter in exercise classes

Yes I have no doubt that many other types of fitness (aerobic or otherwise) classes are using Scooter tracks to exercise with.

Scooter tracks quite simply ROCK so it comes as no surprise that they get used for more than just the dance clubs.

Welcome to the Forum :D

I don't use fitness videos, but I can see why someone would use Scooter music - the energy in it is great

I always listen to Scooter music on my MP3 player when I work out at the Gym 3 or 4 times a week - its great music to work to :D

Exercise to Scooter

Thanks for the welcome to the Scooter forum. :D

Check out www.lesmills.com for a gym near you and more than likely the teachers will be using Scooter in their fitness classes. Germany has heaps of gyms as does the rest of Europe.

It must be weird though to go to a gym, do a fitness class and the teacher plays your music to exercise with.
So does anyone know if the guys from Scooter have done this :?:

Heya, and welcome. :)
I have done Body Combat classes myself, they didn't use Scooter, but they might as well have. I have never thought of this before. :D I'll tip them. ;)

I find more energy helps me de-stress - sometimes my job is very stressful - hard exercise is a good way to cope :D

Scooter tracks

Scooter tracks used by Les Mills in Body Combat, Body Step and RPM are:-

- Fire
- The Revolution
- Call Me Manana
- Nessaja
- Move Your Ass
- Endless Summer
- Friends
- Faster Harder Scooter
- The Logical Song
- Rebel Yell

lisstuppa, if the teacher didn't use Scooter in their class it must have been a pretty average class. I myself make it a habit to use at least one track in every class I teach, and they (class participants) love it :!:

It was in Australia, and I don't think the teacher knew much about Scooter. She did, however, use Sash, so she would have a small clue about good music, but most of the songs were songs I had never heard before. That was also 2 years ago so it might have changed now. ;)
I always use Scooter songs in my dance classes, no matter what I am teaching. ;)
