I hope NOT.
Indeed.

I don't get this talk about band needing to change vocalist just to sound "fresh" or whatever... I don't know any single band with a vocalist that has just dropped that vocalist or gotten a new one (other than Nightwish, but it seems their reasons were good). And you have countless bands older than Scooter that have used the same vocalist all the time. The problem is not there. They need to do styles they can do the best, do them better (compare C'est Bleu with anything from Age Of Love -- AOL sounds like it has better production values and it was done 15 years ago), and maybe have different type of singing than just MC chanting (like before). They could release an instrumental song -- that'd be amazing, and a nice change -- but a different voice to Scooter would be its end.
:rolleyes: This is a signature.

An instrumental single could work well, but they could also do a single with few HP shouts, like Friends.

Right, because Scooter stands for HP. All people just know HP with his Shouts. So an instrumental single isn't Scooter for most of the people.

if scooter were to move away from hp's raps, they would need to go back to a style in the past, old singles from the first chapter had few lyrics, mostly shouts, its been a long time since hp has done a song like that, and it could work again, if the words are right,

BTW AOL is a wicked album, its the only one for me that has a complete relxed feel to it, beautifal album

@Kelvo:
Dont know if going back to the past might actually be good. People might see this than as a lack of ideas, and that might again damage its succes. And looking at the charts raps are actually in fashion, look at Pitbull and co ;) One thing is sure, there is no real good manual to succes anymore, one just needs luck in this musical world of today and some famous co-stars like Guetta did, or some odd looking person, to gets peoples attention in this quick and fast changing world. The days of people sticking to one band forever are over Im afraid, now people want something new and fresh every year, hence the short-term big succeses of some bands and than the sudden silence of that same bands, well, lets cal it projects, because bands it arent anymore.....

I agree, its so different out their now, I just hope scooter can get to the top again with their next attack, but I am beginning to think they wont, they are now their for the fans and that's it. if they can just chart better than the last few, that will be something, even back in the 40's would be good now, but i think one good top 10-20 will sort them out, at least for a while

I'm just hoping it's a stonker. They have the platform to relaunch themselves at the public with H.P.'s exposure on the X-Factor, I just hope they don't waste it by coming out with more rubbish like TBMU. As in all honesty, David Guetta, Skrillex and the like do that sh!t better than Scooter. They either need to find another "Jumpstyle" as in something which is new and the masses haven't yet had exposure to or go back to what they do best. Just please, please, please, no dubstep, house etc etc.
Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.

I wouldn't mind a single with few lyrics and powerful shouts like in the good old days.

In general I like the tracks containing many HP lyrics. But during the last years almost every single and also most album tracks had extremely HP-rap-based verses. It was too much of the same scheme. Now tracks with more emphasis on beats and melodies and less, but powerful HP shouts could provide diversity. And such tracks have very energetic moments. Look at the beginning of "Ramp!" when HP shouts "good morning! yeaaah!" and the bass&beats set in or when he shouts "stand up!" and then they play the main melody underlined with a hard beat. Or look at te extended version of "Move your ass!" when HP shouts "You still feel alright? You want some more?!" and the track continues even rougher than before. These are moments that got lost a bit in the newer tracks.

agree, and you cant really rap with those particular parts, a good shout here and their like on the live shows adds so much more to a beat, i say go for it, i hope we get some like that again
