Scooter want to produce next X-Factor candidate!

Quoted

TRANSLATED:

How important is it for you to co-work with the candidates, who you also will be coaching?

I consider it very interesting, because until now with Scooter we never managed to produce another artist. That's why X-Factor is now for me the opportunity, to take an artist and produce with him/her a single or even an entire album. One can bring all into it, what one has in experience and ideas and sounds.

Quoted

"Ich will einen Song produzieren, bei dem mein Bauch mir sagt: Das Ding ist ein Hit. Ob das dann wirklich klappt, hängt bekanntlich von vielen verschiedenen Faktoren, aber wir haben den Anspruch."

TRANSLATED:

I want to produce a song, where my stomach feeling says: This is a hit. If that will happen, depends ofcourse on many factors, but we want to do it.

I'm sure there are many Scooter fans on this forum that would like them to get this feeling about their own new album first. If he got this feeling about anything on TBMU, I would recommend cutting down on his fibre intake.
Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.

i think we can safely say this could be bonus track on the next album, also take note, this is also a great opertunity to gain some high profile promotion, which could go in favor of the next scooter album

See There! Yet another piece to the puzzle falling into place for my theory. Scooter will fade away more and more. And finally, there's only retirement left. It will become more and more these kinds of side projects. And then when it finally is time to produce the new Scooter album. It will only be a half-hearted effort.

MJ's solo career

HP's time-consuming involvement in various projects.

I do not like this development. How the mighty have fallen! :S

H.P. is talking bullsh!t and he knows that! He's forced to say things like these because he signed a contract with VOX to be part of X-Factor. And why is he going to X-Factor? Cause he wants to discover a new talent? That's the same bullsh!t, too.

He's at X-Factor because the latest singles from TBMU flopped heavily an he must do smth. else that people don't forget about Scooter. And of course be on TV when the next album ge'ts released this fall. We know the new album is already in production since april this year and if they work on this album like the other albums prior to TBMU, then I don't see any reason the next one wouldn't come out this year. Probably november, when we are at the final shows for X-Factor...

Nevertheless it should be quite interesting what H.P. has got to say during X-Factor and I definitely check that out. And by the way: This is not the end of Scooter, H.P. has done some silly TV appearences from time to time! Remember where he promoted the single "JAOTW" at that stupid "Jetzt wird eingeseift!" show on SAT1? Or when he was part of "Der große Deutsch Test" on RTL during Mind The Gap time? ;)

EDIT: Completely forgot this... NICE picture of H.P. :D

@Cold_Shadow :
It seems they are indeed in some way preparing for the days after Scooter, trying to built up a firm portfolio for producing etc. next to the Scooter project. In a way a wise decision, but also a bit a scary one comming to think about it. But like all producers, they for sure also want to go on making music when they themselves are to old or their project is to old, and the only way is to do it for others in that case. A devellopment that one day would come, and now seems to start already. But maybe if they earn enough with side stuff, they will invest it in Scooter to let it live just that little bit longer, so we can also see this positive aspect of the way the members are "working" now ;)

Could be as you say, Ed. It would be wise to find another foot to stand on if or when Scooter is over and out.

Completely agree with u Aganim, but i have one question: are u sure that the new album is in production since april? Most of the time we shouldn't take serious every word... remember when Rick said in Russia that the next album will "back to the roots", and we saw TBMU. And yes, u are right, HP must talk a few shi.ts just for the sake of that show or due to the contract. Even if he would be serious, a collaboration would be useless since the have Nikk, Kamala and if they would be smart to release a similar track to Fire (or The Revolution), for that, they have Jeff Mantas.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

got to say, that pic of hp would make a great pic for the booklet in the album

many high profile acts go things like this and got a good result from it, the next album or single from scooter should be a big hit,
@ fanatik_scooter, we had a pic on facebook from scooter stating the new album is in work and it will be energetic, also regarding the roots, i personally feel it was too late for scooter to reproduce TBMU so they added some other stuff and ideas like the dubstep and recent chart stomping stuff like the jump/hardstyle tracks on the album. also as far as we know scooter said after the release of CB they said they are gonna start work on the new stuff, so really its been in production since December 2011, or at least ideas, also after the flop i think the roots will be in full force now, as said TBMU was not what they wanted in the end, hence the lack of promo, my guess is they released the work anyway with a few try's on it to see how it went, nothing more, if anything the lack of success will spur scooter on to make a better album and surely now they can see their mistakes.

also on the note of TBMU, the tour was not as spectacular as the last tour, the tracklist was very odd from that we would expect, the only positive was the beg venues that sold out, or at least was close, 2 o2 arenas in one tour, also as we seen scooter very quicky stopped using that traclist and now have reverted back to a TSTI sort of list, none of the new stuff gets any play at all now, so i think it is clear on scooter thoughts here, in the end this album became a gap filler.

as said, if anything the failure of TBMU will have influenced the new albums way of making, i remember hp saying last december that sometimes working with the ideas right away is the best way, rather than waiting and having breaks and doing shows between production, so i think from that one message we can expect a good album coming up,

my only other concern now is that michael simon seems to be doing a lot of stuff lately, its like he isnt even scooter anymore, he has fully focused on his solo new record label he has and started work on that, so i dont know what is happening their.

H.P. didnt talk about a collaboration like they do with Scooter tracks with Kamala or Nikk in it, he talked about producing the winning act or atleast the person he is coaching. It will have nothing to do with Scooter actually, it will probably be a pop love-song of some kind or so, made for the artist. Scooter will be the producers and writers, and we all know H.P. can write also good "normal" lyrics, pop lyrics, as can be seen from the Celebrate The Nun times ;) In this interview H.P. is focussing on the fact they want start producing other artists, they never really did that, but want it (and wanted it already for a long time I think) ;)

Interesting ...... It does sound like he is looking for other things in his career instead of / as well as Scooter though.
Let's hope the next album does somewhat better than TBMU, or he might turn all his attention to producing others

Indeed, i can't see scooter going on forever, seems many don't care about them anymore, but they still sell out shows, and big ones too, so i think we have some time left yet, regarding hp's interview, as said i guess they are looking ahead for a new challenge, could also be some kind of side project for scooter, a bit like ratty, to see the out come, or maybe scooter want to make the next album with others in a certain way,

also so me interesting news, i contacted Michael Simon last night about his dj work and his future with Scooter and to see about the new albums work

here it is

17 hours ago - Kelvin Bland
I noticed you are focusing alot on you solo work right now, which BTW sounds great, I just wanted to know if you are still part of Scooter

PS - any news on shows in the UK and how is the work on the new album going

Cheers

5 hours ago - Michael Simon
its very simple.im just trying to keep my dj and personal thing alive with i neglect the last 6 years.thats it.i stay with scooter of course :-)
but i can't tell you news about tours and music right now

26 minutes ago - Kelvin Bland
cool, thanks for the reply michael, and good luck dj work, looking forward to future tunes.

their you have it

so no news about the new album, but it could be because they dont want to spoil the new stuff yet.

Many succesful artists also produce others, and Scooter always wanted to do that too as can be read from H.P.'s statement. And now with X-Factor there's an opportuniyy to produce the winner, just like Dieter Bohlen (from Modern Talking) produces often the winner of "German Idol" ;) So it's in a way a side project, but I think a more pop-style one, if it will happen. Scooter can go on, and the producing on the side like an extra, also a normal way many bands work ;) And H.P. has the lyric writing skills to do love-songs too for example :)

yeah of course and why they are doing it? They just use credulousness of newcomers and tell them we will make you famous and rich if you give us your voice and at the end they give them only 1% of their 99% profit. And if the voice don't work anymore they kick their asses and say goodbye. That's so cheap

I think Scooter want three things with HP's X-Facor-Engagement:
- bring Scooter back to a large public attention (similar to Modern Talking's "TV makes the superstar" during Dieter Bohlens first DSDS-engagement); I can imagine the release of a new Scooter album very close to the release of the stuff they want to produce for the winner of X-Factor
- gain money for their future projects in general (Scooter, Scooter-side projects like Ratty, producing for other artists...)
- establish a solid basis for the future

so far a wise plan on the long run; if it is successful we will see Scooter mainly as producers for other artists with some own single and album releases and live shows/tours now and then, but the release of a new album each year won't continue on the long run

19

Wednesday, August 8th 2012, 4:54pm

Very interesting, this topic. Although for me it's still too early to say anything about their plan (if any)... What I hope most is that they will keep Scooter as their number one priority. There's also the matter of Scooter's reputation -- they are not only a well-known band but also infamous for sampling and reproducing sounds at will, and people either love or hate them -- if they have ever heard of them. Because the winner(s) of this kind of show bring good money (at least in short term) there are surely to be producers lining up to get their hands on the new winner. Would he/she choose Scooter to begin with?

Also, I like kelvo's idea that TBMU was something they wanted to get out and focus on a better idea. No need to waste an album if there's one done, but let it be without promotion, etc.

Good to hear Michael's still on the case, and his not telling any news is most likely about secrecy rather than the lack of any. I think and hope the album has progressed well, and they've had a long time to work on it already. As said, they might want to release something once X-Factor is wrapping up and Scooter's/HP's name is up a lot.

And great pics of HP. 8)

The question is why H.P. is sitting in a stupid casting show and not working in the studio on the new album!
