Finally we know who the David is "David Doesn't Eat" is about ;)

In this interview H.P. tells about how he came up with the songtitle "David Doesn't Eat".

H.P. Said:

Quoted

"It was a spontanious idea caused by a friend in New York, who doesn't eat but just drinks. And when Danna than in the evening said that I look like David, 'cause he doesn't eat anything. He/she said 'No, David doesn't eat'. This quote sounded so strange that I thought 'Hey, that's a good songtitle' ... "

H.P.'s "The Voice" - "The Myth" > He stands out all above the rest, blonder than the best! :D

It's alredy the second version. The first version was also explained by H.P. himself. And it was about a homeless in New York.

i remember reading about this a while back, another example of hp's weird way of writing songs
as it goes scooter were in new york at the electric zoo festival, seen this argument with a man and his wife about him not eating just always drinking, and rick seeinf skrillex doing dubstep and watching the crowd go crazy and thought, "i'd like to have a go at that", thus DDE is born

So David is a guy from NY.
HP's way to make lyrics is to choose strange and unlogical phrases and fill them with rhyming words and slang. There are many words he brought from America. Since 2005 he uses the word "to spit" that can make someone confused as you may think about the straight meaning. Recently I've found out spitting is to rap according to american slang. And according to the slang "pusher" is a guy who provides you with some drugs so I think by saying "I'm your pusher" HP means Scooter music is like a drug and I provide you with that music.
I'm happy I'm not a native english-speaker as it lets me abstract away from what he's saying. Poor native-speakers, I cannot imagine how annoying it's for them to listen to such stupid things, moreover, with tough German accent. )))
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

Let's go for a joyride!

HMITF was the biggest hit in Ukraine. My brother told me the main theme was the anthem of IRA so it made me think the lyrics were about freedom, politics and the stuff... But In 2004 I translated How Much is the Fish and I got very upset. It was like ...WHAT?....

Actually H.P.'s pronounce is pretty good. Also the lyrics are great even for the people who understand it. Just cool rhymes about nothing and about everything at the same time. I hate the love songs (almost every song in the world is about love, lol), so H's lyrics is just a remedy for me :)) He is MC and all these lyrics are so cool! And the slang stuff is great! I like this "flirting" with a language (if I can say so, lol) =D

Native-speakers don't regard their language as beautiful as it sounds for foreigners. So when a non-english person listens to these lyrics, he doesn't get irritated.
I like HP's lyrics, but sometimes they are too silly. every minute every hour get the power Take a shower .

The question is Why do some hate Scooter? Because of HP. Their music is nice, their songs can be nice with cute hpv voices and uplifting synths - there is nothing to hate the band, but HP. I bet even haters would listen to Scooter if HP didn't scream all the way.

Rick answered in the chat/interview yesterday : it's a drunk guy called David that HP saw in a parking in New York, and whose wife was yelling "David doesn't eat !".

I knew I had read it - David doesnt eat (he just drinks!) It was an interview last year :)

hope we hear something new soon, ready for the summer, with mike doing solo work, I'm beginning to have a few doubts, as to weather they are working on new stuff or not, and if mike is ready to leave, i hope not, but if so, then so be it,

but on the other hand scooter are very quite now, nothing even on the facebook, the old calm before the storm
