I like some sounds from dubstep, but overall I agree.
All the 90's computer game similar sounds pulls dubstep down to me.

I'd like them to go back to 1999-2003.

I think it's better to go back to the incredible time of 1998 - 2002.

It's a pleasure to listen ar watch Encore! Live and Direct.

But of course its okay when 1 or 2 tracks are still dubstep on

a new album!

About dubstep in general, I think it could work better for Scooter if they used the main elements only. I dislike the wild parts of dubstep where it sounds like a bunch of 80's arcade games are crashing. It sounds like an annoying mess to my ears.
David Doesn't Eat is a good dubstep-influenced song, IMO. I wouldn't mind some more dubstep songs like that one.
