4music mocking scooter

Once again, the British music industry having a pop. They have a 50 biggest selling dance hits of the noughties on 4 music this evening and before each ad break, some idiot has giving the link 'and still to come....' each time he has named various bands, cascada and such but never repeated any apart from scooter to which he makes a mockery each time, ie, 'still to come, cascada, artful dodger and, ahem, I'm afraid to say, scooter!'. Not one of the other dance acts in this feature has demonstrated the longevity that HP and co have. Another example of British ignorance and snobbery. And what's more, we're on number 16 of the countdown and scooter still haven't appeared meaning they are one of the biggest sellers. Well done 4music for shooting yourself royally in the foot, shame it wasn't the brain. Woops, they don't have one do they.

It seems mocking Scooter is a trend among music biz people. I guess it's because of the heavy ripping and sampling, making alot of artists have no respect for them.

Seems so. In the end they came in at 15 having sold 410,000 of the logical song so even after all the mocking, the figures speak for themselves really :)

There's enough of intelligent people who listen to music they like without caring about what haters think.

Compared to all the teeny pop artists that rip stuff just as heavily?
We started in 1994....in 2012 we're still on the case!!!

Scooter doesn't hide it. That's the only reason I can think of.
I don't know :whistling:

Sonique 'feel so good' was number one which surprised me, I liked that song but I wouldn't have thought it was a big seller. I can't remember many of the others, Eric prydz was one of them with call on me,dj sammy with heaven was also in the top 10 can't remember much else though.
