I knew I read autumn 2012 somewhere.

Isn't it so that Scooter always have followed up a flop with a new release in a short time?
TUAO didn't do well, and 9 months after, JAOTW came.

interview 2010 at moscow

RSP: We heard many suggestions from
the
ravers who want you to re-release some of your old stuff like …And The

Beat Goes On! but in new version.

H.P:
OK…

Rick: We sometimes do it live…

H.P: Yeah, live, we have some special versions.

Rick: I think it will make no sense to re-release them like BBE

or Three Drivers doing it with their tracks almost every year.

H.P: But we could do something like a bonus remix album. That
would be an idea. Yes, yes, maybe we'll do this.

RSP: Ratty's Sunrise (Here I Am) is
still rather popular tune at Hard Dance events. Would you like to
release something new under the Ratty alias?

Rick:
Really? Do they still listen to Sunrise? I'm really glad
then.
Yes, we will try to please you with new Ratty stuff.
so now its time to see this bonus album in 2012
So who do you think you are ?

You will never ever get that far

http://www.legalworld.be/legalworld/uplo…f?LangType=2067

This is a pdf file of a lawsuit of Edel vs Michiel van der Kuy (composer of James Brown Is Dead, original of CMM)
It went in a belgium court, language of the pdf is in Belgian Dutch.
Basically it's about the fact that some expert said in a previous lawsuit that CMM is a copy of JBID, and Scooter had to pay 50.000 BEF (1.239,47 euro) back in 1999. and Edel went against that in this new lawsuit, stating that the expert wasn't objective.
In the end, Edel was proven wrong again, so they had to pay the costs of the lawsuit.

At least, that's what I make of it, since it's hard to understand cause:
1. Lots of things are blanked out, probably things with personal information, names etc.
2. It's all legal talk, which is hard to understand sometimes
3. It's in Flemish, which is like Dutch, but with some differences too.

Still I thought I should post this link, cause some of you might find this interesting.

Here Do We Go - As Scooter Would Say :D

Hans Peter Geerdes in action. On the stage of the scooter frontman HP Baxxter means.

HP Baxxter feels like a young professional. On Friday, the 46-year-old playing with a scooter in the O2-World.

Lots of pyrotechnics and beats per minute, confetti bursts and go-go girls expect the boisterous audience, when the Hamburg techno bard scooter on Friday with their "The Big Mash Up Tour", the walls and eardrums in the Berlin-based O 2 will bring World vibrate . Their chief shouter HP Baxxter explains what his mother from his job and how he keeps ever for his job at jurors 'X Factor' exercises.

Mr. Baxxter, from the summer you can see as a mentor in the TV talent show "X Factor". Were the go-go dancers on your show actually cast from you personally?

Sure! We work with an agency in Lithuania, which filters out other dancers for Ibiza events. But we also test out new girls how to dance the Sun It is the basis of photos or small movies so do not judge. It is better just not when a girl is pretty. The overall picture has to be right. Also from the movement, it has to fit.

Is your arena-concert event a kind of substitute for the Love Parade?

This would of course be glad if it would be seen as that. In any case, when we celebrated just as hard!

How do you tell your parents your job ?

Since I need to explain anything. I had to make earlier - before we had success. I did come from space, from the province and wanted to major in a city. And then my father asked: "What do you want doing?" And I said, 'Dad, I want to make music. ! His pop star 'And then he said: "You think too, that sit in Hanover and wait on it only appears that Hans Peter Geerdes, or" And I said, "Yes, you'll see" The success. course taken years. My father died in 1991, he has not even seen.

And your mother?

My mother has always said earlier, I had to grow up and cease to be slow times, with 30 still to go to the disco is silent at the moment, as it went with "Hyper, Hyper" through the roof. From there she was thrilled and has collected every scrap - how mothers are like that. It is now our biggest fan! She is often in Hamburg there when we play. Then it is always as of chains.

If you "Hyper, Hyper" hinterhergegrölt still on the road?

Yes, I think it will be so until I drop dead. But some also call it "How much is the fish?" - Then I smile sympathetically. Or sing döbdöbdöb this ... I'm glad that they had not only a big hit. Instead, there are several things at all, the one can be called after.

Is it really hard to make a scooter song?

I think it's actually incredibly difficult to produce a real hit, the recognition factor, a gripping groove, a coherent beat and something new is that it does not sound like an infusion of another number. Anyone not in there in the matter says, of course, fast times, "Oh, that sounds just like always." But on closer listening one realizes that we use for each album again very different beats and rhythms.

They come from East Friesland. What was your early experience with the beat?

As a small child I was there when my father was the "Beat Club" on television anguckte. Techno beat that time there was not so. When my mother had time for a cure, they brought me in for an elderly neighbor. The whole room was papered with posters of his rock star. That impressed me. I wallpapered my room as well - although I did not know a song. My first record was "Twenty Century Boy" by T. Rex. Then Sweet and Slade. Later I changed to Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. And then it all went as a teenager with New Wave: Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, The Cure, and electronic items such as Ann Clarke, I liked that. End of the eighties came Acid House. And since then has been turned over to me the switch: the new wave era was over for me, and it was only towards techno and trance in the main.

Have you often go to events?

Until 1993 I was living in Hanover, there were large rave events, where many Englishmen were present. So I knew early on the MC-stories. That was style icon for me. Hamburg, however, had more of a club culture. That was not mine. I was even a bit disappointed when I came to Hamburg. I only asked: "Is not even a rave here," I am often moved back to Hanover.

And after almost 20 years, Scooter annoys you the Raven still do not?

Ne, not at all. On the contrary, that turns me on! For it is this: When you hear the car radio, you hear only soft washed hits. Scooters can be heard as much. When I hang up my clothes, and then makes it "Bamm Bamm" out of the speakers, which for me is the elixir of life.

You are 46 years old. Do you in your job to be professional young people?

I am anyway. If I thought I would do it now, I'd rather quit. I get bored quickly when someone is set to go and play golf or just nice to eat at most times and then go home. I am also privately always the one who says to his friends: "Come, let us again somewhere."

You still play golf?

No, not yet. I have no time to rest and somehow, the interest for it. I like it not: Suddenly it's chic, each playing golf. Then I deal better with my tropical fish, this is completely out.

They should also like to read artists' biographies.

The Led Zeppelin I found really impressive! As we have seen that the time has been celebrated with a dynamic range that you can hardly beat. When associated with the private jet flown across America, the groupies did not know where they are sudden. And the band did not know where they have actually been collected. As they say already: Hats off!

Interview: Katja Schwemmer.

Concert: 6th Fourth, 20 clock, O 2 -World, Mill Street 12, tickets: € 35 to 46.50.

SCOOTER

Over The Top the Chart results are consistently at home and abroad, the SCOOTER did consistently since the introduction of Germany's most successful act on the charts. Even if the message has arrived from her No.1 in the UK album charts last long into the corners of the media world and has caused many places disbelief, only the three guys from SCOOTER despite these success stories seem relatively unaffected. Obviously, this is the best way to continue their ongoing soar beyond disturbing radar waves.

Overall, SCOOTER romp now more than 400 weeks on the German charts. These are sometimes just 8 years, or-in other words, exactly half of the 16-year SCOOTER band's history.
SCOOTER among the few bands and artists of German origin, who have managed to dominate the musical landscape to sustainably over a period of more than a decade, without losing its freshness and energy.
polarize SCOOTER - how loved outlaw, but her style is uncontested for the opposite of boredom. Well over 30 million records, more than 80 gold and platinum records sold around the world, and a collection of high-profile music awards speak for themselves.

Lets take a closer look at this phenomenon:
The year is 1994, the Underground is raging, the global party nation was on countless raves and new techno clubs, while the charts are still dominated by rather flat Euro dance and mainstream singles.
With for that time of the commercial track "Hyper Hyper" storm, SCOOTER seemingly out of nowhere in the charts and make techno acceptable overnight. Eight years of graft with "Celebrate The Nun," and other projects and remixes were finally about to pay off.
With songs like "Move Your Ass!", "Friends," "Endless Summer" and "Back In The UK" refute them the impression that it was just another at SCOOTER One-hit wonders of the early nineties.
"How Much Is The Fish?", "Maria (I Like It Loud)", "Nessaja", "One (Always Hardcore) "," Weekend "and" Jumping Over The World ", just to name a few, select in the following years, the hit of this remarkable formation. And so with sheer wonder at the longevity of the band's career combined at the beginning of an interview by asking for the recipe for this success.

"Find out, what you can not do and then go and do it!" HP succinctly quoted one of his favorite phrases, which has become something of a leitmotif of the band. "When you get your curiosity can not, coupled with a healthy quantity of research-naivety, then you can stop really the same, then the whole thing makes no fun, and thus no longer make sense. You should also be credible. We do in the studio all yourself that reward the fans. " Not infrequently, it is also Baxxters unstoppable urge to unconventional approaches, which seems his colleagues at times to drive you crazy.
"He comes up with the most disturbing ideas around the corner, and we can then see how common it into a piece makes music "said Rick J. Jordan, with a wink to the question of cooperation. "But for that I love him,. It inspired immensely, and you can be assured of encountering substance, if you look long enough set apart with his ideas,"
Even though his lyrics, especially on whipping up the crowd into a frenzy, deal victorious battles with imaginary MC-rival and "SCOOTER-thing" as such, but HP has sometimes with malicious delight, confuse platitudes sniffing contemporary literary references and the apparent trivial choice of words hidden messages ("Respect to the men in the icecream van "- a tribute to The KLF). Ultimately Baxxter is the enfant terrible, and the visual focal point of the band, the Scooter in the last 16 years has shaped distinctive.

Keyboardist and sound engineer Rick J. Jordan is on the other hand, the calming influence of the team. "I try to capture the creative chaos of the production process, sort, and with their own ideas to build on," says Jordan of the daily production at SCOOTER. In addition to sound design and audio engineering, he is the "musician" in the team. With over 30 years of piano experience and classic embossed music theory knowledge he brings sometimes even a virtual symphony orchestra in the computer to life and produced with passion, many of the SCOOTER-typical excursions into genre foreign musical styles like rock, classical or Irish-Celtic folklore.
Third, most invisible, a founding member of the band, Jens Thele the team free business-like head and back. As the mastermind and managing director of Kontor Records, he introduces international contacts for the SCOOTER and is in marketing issues in the visionary tone. "There is often a necessity when Jens in the final stages of production into the studio and the existing results from the perspective of the A & evaluate R man and long-time DJs. He is then like a joker, which sometimes comes up with truly original ideas and suggestions for improvement. You can see plainly that he is a very long time busy with music, "says Michael Simon.

Michael Simon, one of the hottest house DJs in Hamburg and as Rick also keyboardist in the band, for SCOOTER and long-time fans no stranger: early 1997 he toured with the project "Shahin & Simon" as a support act with the boys, has done remixes for Scooter and released productions on Kontor Records. Through his diverse musical background, the next house, techno and hard trance and hip-hop and R & B covers, Michael found himself quickly into the team and developed, among others, the secret weapon in the beat programming. In addition, it drives an uncontrollable desire to for the latest club releases, which makes him more and more a trend scout for the band.

so michael simon was a support act for scooter in 97 then, never knew that.
