That's not true just listen to samples of new Paul van Dyk album Evolution will be out on Friday.
That's what i call producing innovative music with passion and not just hunting money in time with quick productions. Time pressure just have people with own label want make money quickly. Paul van Dyks last album was out 2007 now we have 2012. If you have own label you have no pressure and Scooter have own label.
So we all know what will happen next with Scooter. We will get another quick made album this summer or autumn because they want sell another Limited Edition package with the Mash Up Tour concert DVD as quick as possible.

And maybe tracks for next Scooter album are already in work by other producers. As we could see on latest album not much tracks contain copyright information made by H.P. Baxxter, Rick Jordan, Michael Simon, Jens Thele. So album releases can even get quicker if Scooter using finished track compositions of other people to put them on a Scooter album with some additional H.P. vocals.

Whatever the success of recent releases no-one can deny they can attract a large audience for live shows, as we have seen this past couple of weeks during the tour.
Maybe their focus now is more on live performances than new stuff - they have quite a few more concerts coming up in the next few weeks, and with the internet and illegal downloading of music live shows must be financially better than single releases.
As long as they keep performing live and playing great tracks from the time 1994 - now, they will never die and will attract fans from all the stages of their musical career
It will be interesting though to see the direction for the next album. I have faith in the Scooter magic

Live shows are great, but they get cheaper every year. At the moment a live gig from Scooter is valued at around 35.000 euros. 4-5 years ago the price was higher...

Trance producers like Paul van Dyk wasn't in my mind considering this.
I'm talking about other artists who seem to make music only for the benefit.

If having an own label increases the pressure, maybe Scooter should consider dropping Sheffield Tunes and just go with Kontor.
If that could mean less pressure and more time to make something passionate.

And about using other producers to make music for them, that sounds very not Scooter. If they would use music made by others instead of making it themselves, they could as well end Scooter, IMO.

Man sollte es weder den Fehler machen alles schönzureden, denn das Abschneiden der letzten Singles und auch die des Albums lassen sehr zu wünschen übrig; und es sind nicht 1, 2 Singles, die nicht so einschlagen, sondern es wird mit jeder Veröffentlichung schlechter. Und es gibt in der Tat einige Ungereimtheiten, die einem durchausauch als Nicht-Insider der Musikbranche auffallen können. Dass etwa der Radio Edit von "C'est bleu" eher eine Kürzung als eine Verbesserung der Album Version war, ist sicher keine Halluzination. Auch die Mängel in der Veröffentlichungs- und Werbepolitik sind recht offensichtlich - man bedenke nur das Chaos um die vermeintliche "TOO"/"FT"-Double-A-Side. Und warum "It's A Biz" - im gegensatz zu Clips von Groove Coverage oder der Swedish House Mafia - nicht auf Viva läuft, ist rätselhaft.

Aber man sollte auch nicht denen, dass Scooter nur wieder Trance- oder Happy Hardcore-Hämmer machen müssten, um wieder "over the top" zu sein. Zum einen ist das leichter gesagt als getan, so einen "Hammer" zu machen, zum anderen war gerade "Friends Turbo" sehr back-to-the-roots und hat die Top30 trotzdem nicht geknackt.

Ich sehe die Lösung eher darin, dass die Jungs sich weniger darum kümmern sollten, welches Genre oder welcher Stil wohl bald "in" sein wird, um all ihre Ideen in diesen Stil zu pressen oder ganze Szenen nach verwendbaren Synths usw. abzugrasen. Stattdessen sollten sie frei von allen Zwängen versuchen, gute Songs zu machen und den einzelnen Ideen die Elemente beizufügen, die sie brauchen, um optimal zu zünden. Ob da dann Hands up!/Dance/Happy Hardcore... oder eine Mischung aus allem rauskommt, ist zweitranging, Hauptsache der Song selbst haut - so wie er ist - rein.

Also wer soll denn Trance und Happy Hardcore produzieren?
Rick hat keine Zeit mehr udn schläft schlecht wegen seinem Kind und Michael kann das nicht! Der kann nur House und Electro!

why should the fact that Michael plays house as a DJ mean that he can not produce something else?

Jay Frog is also a house DJ, and what kind of succesful tracks did we get during his time in the band? Nessaja, Maria, One, Jigga Jigga, Hello to take a few examples. None of these had anything to do with house.

Being a house DJ could simply mean that he's more specialized on house than on trance and techno, for example.
It doesn't mean he's unable to produce it.

But do you remember Shahin&Simon the project with Michael and another guy? This was nice fast Dance music in the 90s!
But only because Rick said he was the producer of the project Shahin&Simon!
So i think Michael only did get the job because he is a good friend of Jens Thele not because he is a good Dance producer!

Didn't need Rick help from Chris Avantgarde in the studio when they started this electro sound with Only One?
I wonder why that's not the part of Michael if he's from that genre?
If i got it right the clubmix was from Chris Avantgarde and not from Micheal.

mhh, i remember h.p. stated once they earn almost no money with live gigs. should be a +/- 0$ business.

hmmm I heard many other big names earn the real money from live tours -strange with Scooter it's vice versa, but isn't it always the case with Scooter?

I always thought it was the case that bands make their money from live tours and albums, there's no money in the singles market anymore unless it's a massive massive hit.

Tours = Ticket sales, Sponsorship, Merchandise etc and i'm sure once all the overheads and costs are taken out they are quite profitable particularly as all venues have been sell outs (or close) again this time round.

Did the single release/tour push TBMU back into the German album charts?

When a group suffers bad times and loses its popularity in common, the group starts making money by means of live performances. It reminds me of Disco bands from the curly 80s which have been crossing through Siberia, Kazakhstan and Monglolia since they became forgotten in the whole world.

I am optimistic about the band's success in future. For sure there'll be one day when Scooter are back on the top of the charts with a huge single from the massive album.
