the band are old and they are tired for the heavy speed sound ...they want change ..they need it in the end no one want it ! that's the case :!:

yeah that's why Dreams and Friends Turbo are among the fastest songs they've ever produced.
You're pushing this too far... :P

Agreed!!! When I saw the video I was a bit shocked when I saw the shout and agree it's not very like Scooter but some people are looking a bit too far into this! Scooter have been doing what they do for a very long time and I don't think any of the band are unprofessional enough to lose control in a show. Whatever the meaning behind it HP knew exactly what he was doing and I doubt their is much meaning lol!

I watched the live streaming and again today youtube.
The word idiots can mean very offensive to some with learning differculties
but saying that my son has down's syndrome an wouldnt have kept like the crowd repeating the same words - and I do believe that amongst all the issues with the tech stuff HP just got sick of the same chant - he was trying to move the crowd along
though perhaps vodka drinking as i well know can get addictive and you dont realise didnt help - him forgetting the words at times - stress/age/drink - who knows.
But it annot of been easy to do your first gg n have a live streaming - lets face it what work in rehersal and actual - must of been scary.
Keyboard playing - lol if they cheated occasionally just cos the other was hard word - u seen how they use their legs to operate other stuff - not an easy task...
But Hp old come off it forever young till u die its the younger people that do old age - you just have to find away that works to deliver the goods - not always as it was but dont mock Hp he is only a spring chicken at 46 just turned - and give up techno n hrdcore - what for a coffin?
I did notice how sore his eyes were n how the others picked up on it - he was in pain, maybe his mascara ran - and not saying it in jest it can hurt....
But idiots lol as a mother of a child classed by some as a total idiot for his condition - yepp him and others like him wouldnt of chanted and would of actually listened to hp and stuff and respected hp more it was more like a football match.
At lest Hp and others laughed at their mistakes - takes a lot of doing...
but yes faces fell at been called - they paid money yes, but it was their choice - like someone said
or you will get what is given

I have to say being called an idiot is not nice, maybe it doesnt translate very well from German to English and the meaning is different?
@HEDGEWITCH247. - there was a boy with down's syndrome next to me, and he had a fantastic time dancing the whole time :)
But if H.P. thinks I'm an idiot for spending a lot of my hard earned money to buy Scooter things and see Scooter maybe I will think twice in the future.

The dub-dubbing idiots are idiots. Nuff said :P

But I don't blame them. I blame Scooter, they should drop Maria out from the setlist (it's been 9 years now ffs!) - then the dub-dubbing would slowly stop.

Sandra, the meaning of this italian word is the same in every language.

It's not the first time btw , If I'm not mistaken, HP once called the crowd Schweine that is pigs in English. Does he try to pretend all those crazy stupid trash rock bands which abuse their fans and beat them with a dildo?

We are the fans, the posse, the crew that despite everything stay devoted to the band. It is f_cking painful to hear such a betraying word from the man we do support.

Is there any excuse? :S
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

Let's go for a joyride!

I'm sure HP were talking to those who kept chanting "dup dup" when he used the word idiots. He might just have made a bad choice of words that made it sound like he called everyone in the crowd idiots.
Or it might have been seriously meant to those who chanted "dup dup", and random shout-like to those who weren't involved.

I might be making dumb excuses, but it seem strange to me that he would intentionally call the loyal fans idiots.

I think he realised after he had said it it might have been too much for the fans as he tried to smile and laugh about it - but maybe we all need to take a rain check on everything, including the band and see where it all goes to.
It did make me think about going to london to see them - arranging child care for a severely disabled 4 yr old is hard and would I stand it to be called an idiot, when for me an idiot has more meaning... It has put me off big time - though my 4 yr old might have down's syndrome wants me to go - massive scooter fan and has to dance before bed at midnight - and yes i join in.

But the song is a legend, and well, even non fans will sing it (my 10 yr old hates the music) but she will go round singing dub dub dub etc.
maybe the need to make another more catchier song - their next song should dispell the dub dub and make us all sing a different catchier tune for the next few years - after all we cannot sing that to David doesnt eat etc.

So come on guys in da band new track to get the crowd chanting please and stop all the debates and upset - cos we still love ya - and at 49 I am a big kid and refuse to grow old - so you lot got no option.
Scooter we need you on the dance floor with a new chanting song! :P

I would only worry about H.P. making "scooter fans are idiots" statements if I had the feeling he meant it. And I don't ^^

I guess he was irritated part by the dup dup, part by technical problems (sound etc) and part by opening night stress

I loved the whole show ^^

I've stayed out of forums because I haven't wanted to read anything about the show, but sometimes I accidentally come here out of old habit, and this caught my eye and I couldn't help reading it all...
Have to say that in some strange way I'm a bit saddened by this. Sure, there are rockstars who call "f*ck off you f*ckers!" to their crowd and the crowd cheers at it, but anything this negative (even if very mild compared to what other frontmen can say) coming from HP is so unusual. This is the first time ever I've heard about something like this, and I've been to like ten or so concerts. Sure, people can have bad days, but it's saddening to read if it's true that he was in a bad mood (which not presenting the band might also hint at) -- as this, too, is the first time to me I've heard of him showing such feelings on stage. I'd be tempted to say that he shouldn't, since he's a performer and people have paid for a certain kind of show, but it's impossible to control feelings all the times...
At any rate, I'm lucky I wasn't there to hear it. :D I'll be seeing the show in Berlin and I'm looking forward to that...
As for dub dubbing, I've never found it a problem, but I can understand how it might frustrate them. But as said, just take the damn song off the setlist then, for a while, and it will stop.
By the way, I'm not thinking HP genuiely meant that people are idiots for being there, my point is that it's all very unusual -- for him, the HP we all know -- to say something like that.
 This is a signature.

i have to say would the reaction have been the same if he said it German,

i say this because he always says German words which often have offensive meaning, as i recall some of those are you pigs and you devils,
because it was English, does it really mean anything to that he normally says in German?

and if you look at it from another angle, he may have said you idiots because nobody knew what he was talking about, he may have been shocked to find out that nobody knew about one of his favourite bands album which contains the track he was talking about, which scooter since have added to their roster of hits?

which i think he may have wanted to hear the crowd say status quo or jump that rock, it seems nobody new so he called the idiots,
and i have known that word to come across different as in your not thick,I cant believe you never knew that.

I think it's time we let this one go - we will never know what he meant for sure ;)
I think the problem is that the word idiot can be interpreted in different ways by different people, and has two definitions associated with it, one which is considered offensive. I suspect most people ( including H.P.) are thinking of the first, but not everyone sees the word in the same way, and I still beleive when translating from one language to another the first is what's meant, not the second which I believe used to be a part of an official psychological assessment classification.

1. A foolish or stupid person.
2. A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.

I´ve only heard the recordings but what I undestand H.P was talking about some best record from an album from 1973. I could not clearly understand what exactly he said.
Do you remeber what album he was talking about?

I watched the whole live stream last night ( I have only listened to it or watched parts before).
The Dub Dubbing didn't seem as bad on the stream as it did when I was there (in Berlin there was much much less :) ).
H.P. did seem happy for most of the concert, and certainly smiled when he said "I'm the king of tits" instead of "I'm the king of slift" in JTR :)
I hope the live stream is released, even as a bonus to the next album - I really enjoyed watching it :)

but - in summary related to the thread title - no we aren't - but we may a little bit crazy ;)
