I don't know about that -- doesn't youtube have the occasional advertisement? I don't think it has anything to do with the guys.

This wasn't there a few weeks ago, was it?

Now when a single flops and you actually make a loss, you somehow have to get back the money. I think that's why we have some ads in the video. This is what happens if you're GREEDY as hell. Credit for this goes to Jens Thele

Those are Google ads. They must have accepted it to show them on their videos. It's not that annoying (for me), just click on the close icon in their top right corner.

No - actually watch the video - for example at 0.11 the scene with the tv - that didn't used to be there did it? and the additional still shot at 24 seconds, the "edited" tv at 1.14 ...compare it with the video on YouTube

So the video is edited, or replaced with a version with the ads in?

Oh, now I see what you mean! F*ck, this is so tasteless! :cursing: No wonder that scene with Mike sitting on sofa and the girls standing around and the tv there seemed so strange -- the video we saw back then was completely different! Checky: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5HVJdMGAMs This new version has a tv with an advertisement flashing on every once in a while. So it's an alternate version of the video -- shameless... :|

Oh yes, very strange. It seems Kontor indeed uploaded an adds edit of the video. WHen did that happen? Never noticed it before. Is this the way bands want to make money now? It seems so, every view pays something, and than they earn atleast some money if the single flops for some reason. But still, strang and not to my taste to change the video into sort of an add, I can understand adds on the video one can click away, but these adds inside the video are disturbing it...hmmm..

This is ridiculous...

Maybe the girl dancers in the video are Brazilian and it has something to do with them?

The girl dancers look Brasilian, so you could be onto something there ;)

In general it's a economically genious idea to "hide" adds into a video, but it decreases the quality of the video. But on the other side, if those adds will provide us more years of Scooter even if the singles chartwise dont do well, than I can accept it, but would still be not happy with it though ;)

Sure, there are "clever" ways doing product-placement in music videos, but in my eyes that destroys the video. And this one is blatantly obvious of course. All we need is HP shouting "Feel Brazil, go Bayão!" between songs in the next concert.

It has nothing to do with the girls, it's the drink -- Bayão. But the question is, did they choose different type of girls in advance to create some atmosphere to go with the drink advertisement? It's likely they shot everything at the same time when shooting this video, after all.

I don't think the girls were especially chosen for the adds. If I recollect corectly, that TV screen one now can see in the vid, was also in the original vid, but than with another thing playing. It seems they sort of photoshopped into the screen the adds poster and than put extra of that TV scenes into the video. So it could also be done afterwards, and the video was maybe not directly recorded with the adds in mind ;) But well, the question arises: "Why have they chosen TOO for that adds?", and than again come the girls and the atmosphere on the surface. Hard to tell what is really the case :S

But yeah, let's hope HP wont scream the adds on the next tour :D 8|

I don't really care. Watching the video on YT, the tv screen is so small I wouldn't have noticed the ad if it wasn't posted about it here.

Doing some maths now :D

Let's say a succesfull single would sell like 100.000 mp3's and let's say Scooter get 0,20 euro's from every sold mp3, in that case they would earn 20.000 euro's with it. Now let's say 600.000 people view a video with adds hidden in it, like TOO, and Scooter get for each view like 0,05 euro's, in that case they would earn 30.000 euro's. So in that case, without chart succes but with online video viewing succes, they would earn more than with a chartwise succesfull single :D

The end of the maths lesson :P

You probably mean 0,05 euros? As 0,05 cents would be 0,0005 euros which would net them only 300 euros with that number of people. ;) I don't have any idea how much they'll be paid per view (I can see it being less than 5 cents), in any case it'll take a long time before they'll gain money from the views, considering it's an old single and there won't be big crowds viewing it anymore. I think selling 100.000 mp3s of a single is pretty optimistic, 10.000 might be closer -- with an exceptionally good single. (But don't quote me on this...)
