What's interesting though is that the album itself charted well, I believe it was 15, but the singles can't seem to chart well. With DDE it might be because it was released on the day of the album, but so was Ti Sento which was top 10. I expected DDE to do well because it is more of a mainstream genre these days than most of Scooter's other sounds. Hopefully C'est Bleu does much better.

As i wrote yesterday, postion 173 on Deutsche Dance Charts is a very bad sign.
I predict very bad charts result...
They should choose It's a Biz for a single - 4 weeks in charts, week ago position 54, this week 47 - this is what people want to hear !
What's wrong with you ?

@ste100: NOO!!!! I Hope they don't release IAB! TBMU is a BIG failure. From begining to end. If they release IAB. It will ONLY be for fan-service. The ordinary people will not buy this one. I'am pretty sure about that. I hope they waste energy to make a totally new top-10 single for the tour instead.

What sort of sound should Scooter in your opinion make to get a top 10 hit again, because obviously TSAMH , SOR, FT, TOO, DDE and now as it seems also CB doesn't seem to work. The styles of all tracks cover many genres of the dance music, and are all in a way totally different to another. It seems Scooter were trying hard to have a yop 10 hit again, therefor the total style changes from single to single. But it seems no matter what they made, it simply doesnt work anymore. So how do you think that now suddenly Scooter could make a top 10 hit again, because after the recent singles I'm doubting (and it hurst to say that :S ) that we will ever see a Scooter single in the high regions of the charts again.... sad but it seems a fact :S I have no clue what they should make to get on top again, and I have the feeling Scooter is struggling with the same :S I do hope Scooter haven't reached their "sell by date" :S :(

I have to disagree. Without any promotion or advertising, track that is not a single is doing well in the charts - that means something.
As a single It's A Biz would probably be most successful Scooter release this year.

The main problem is, that more than half on people in this forum do not like this song and the style which represents; they do not want their success in the charts, because it can cause that Scooter will follow this way with new album...

i think after the JAOTW album the expectations of Scooter have been raised but also they are trying all these new styles but with little promotion as everyone is saying which is true as the JAOTW album had adverts all over tv at primetime tv aswell i saw the UTROTT advert twice and that was only on the clubland channel so they need to sort things out and stop expecting the name Scooter to sell for itself or possibly try another side project like Ratty :)

All this zealous chart-watching just shows how desperate fans are, this above all I believe shows the not-so-good status of TBMU these days, I think in the past people here weren't so obsessed with the charts,so in itself it shows something aboout the general feeling about the album's success.

That being said, the bright point is IAB with its "outside of charts" charting, which shows not all so bad, and if trying some new strategy-I do agree with ste1000, they should release IAB,as they've never tried before to release a track which was already doing well "in the scene" ,outside of official charts, and I do remember quite a lot of album tracks that were doing well in all kind of radio stations and dj charting, and weren't released as an official single, so this time around this might actually work, and they should give it a try, since if they cut on B-sides,and vinyls, and minutes per cd,and what not, so it is actually cheaper to produce a single and isn't such a big investment,so why not release another single that is already has some familiarity in the scene.

Also if fans don't like IAB as a single, this would be a good "market-status" test, since if the hardcore fans won't buy the single-this leaves only the "new" and potential fans that would (or wouldn't) buy it-and this would show the pure, unbiased status of the current style Scooter used in TBMU,whether it really can attract new fans or not,if not- then they should go back to the roots...

Okay, This is my personal wet dream how a Scooter album should be.

* One positive thing I can say about this TBMU era. Is that I really like this concept. Many tracks & different styles. I don't want any more theme albums.

* No more guest artists. I think this is just a PR thing. To lure new people to the sound of Scooter. It is great if new people become fans. But Scooter should stand on there own. Without any help from other artists.

* The styles of the album: A few tracks that have a Back to the weavyweight jam feelings (that little darker trance style). Then a few Hardcore-Techno tracks. (In Scooter's case, they probably produce more commercial HT). But even so, it would be awesome! And then some Hands-up tracks. That would be definitely, as you guys says it "fresh". Tracks with the same spirit like Empyre One, Manian or Stian K productions. Yum Yum!!!!!! :D And of course a few Hardstyle tracks. God damn it, I love the style. :)

Now that would be a supahdupah album!!

They should choose It's a Biz for a single - 4 weeks in charts, week ago position 54, this week 47 - this is what people want to hear !
Forget it man this style would be a big flop for Scooter single release. If Party sound is not working anymore this style for sure not at all commercial. Sorry for saying it again but i think Scooter had their time. It's time for something new. Maybe remixes again or projects with other people.

You maybe have a point there. Come to think of it. Next year it is exactly 20 years ago when Celebrate the nun era ended.

"If Party sound is not working anymore..." - wow!
Party sound still works my friend, but C'est Bleu or DDE has nothing to do with real party sound - C'est Bleu is a re-heated chop, which Scooter is serving for several years - same sound, same style, different name; DDE is simply a mistake that has been treated appropriately in the charts; the real winner is It's A Biz, because people want to hear this kind of music - look at the charts - this is not my imagination !
While you are crying over DDE and CB big chart flops, IAB without any promo is going very well...

you don't get it the chart positions of It's a Biz have absolutely nothing to do with the people its just club and dj charts how often a record get played from Djs. Nearly every release get good positions at this charts. David doesn't eat did also reach good or at least ok positions at these charts but did flop horrible at commercial charts because people didn't buy it.

On every, literally every chart list /no matter how official or unofficial/ IAB is much higher than DDE ever was...
But ok, i could be wrong - on Monday we will see, whether it is better to take a chance with something new or still play the same...

Unfortunately chart-positions are counting too much - in my opinion.

SCOOTER make real great music since almost 20 years now. Their fans stick to them, they love the concerts.. I remember very well my 1st concert - SCOOTER infected me there really. For me chart-positions are not so important - I love SCOOTER-tunes despite decreasing public interest in the band.

The guys have very good characters - they stay in contact with their fans - they are not cocky.
:)

I will love SCOOTER till I die

With "they are not cocky" I meant that they are still down-to-earth referring to their personal characters. The lyrics of H.P. are somehow different - you´re right here ;)
