Maybe it's time, also for Scooter, to focus on the album itself - promote the sh1t out of the album instead of bothering with singles.

They are doing that in lots of articles now, but as always, the best promo for an album is a succesful single....and well, we don't have one right now :S But also it would help if there would be more music shows like THE DOME on tv like in the past, where we had Top Of The Pops, Mc CHartshow, Chartattack + tons of VIVA programs where Scooter could appear, like CLub Rotation (old version) and so on. And well, now we dont have that anymore, and it seems Scooter's single succs is also no more. Is there a connection with programs that are lost from tv now? I would say, yes, a part of the reason atleast for Scooter to have a decreased succes......

The only thing left to do, is

1 - use Facebook and Twitter for what it's worth and promote singles weeks, or months, before the release, to make sure it gets known
2 - have videos ready for uploading 2, minimum 1 week before the release
3 - use every interview, tv appearance etc. to promote the releases

Do what they should have done all the time - use every chance they get to promote.

The music business and the charts landscape has changed in general because of the internet.
The advantage of the internet: if you have managed to enter people's minds, they will watch out for your stuff via youtube, facebook etc.. You won't need so much promo any more. But if you are not "on the radar" there won't be enough people to click your songs on youtube or to visit your facebook-site. So the charts are dominated by a few "in-"artists with several singles (Rihanna, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, Florida, Pitbull,...-all those acts have had more than just one single in the top100 during the last years and most singles have stayed there for quite a long time) and leave only little place other bands, newcomers or new styles you have to get used to.

During the years before youtube, facebook, myspace etc. radio, TV and DJs controlled what people received to listen to. The advantage: Most radio and TV stations looked for a bit diversity, that means they didn't play too many songs just from one artist. The disadvantage: You had to convince the guys behind those media at first before they played your songs.

The mistake of Scooter's manageent was maybe that they thought Scooter would have such a status that enough people would look on their own for new stuff. So they maybe wanted to reduce the costs and the effort for classical promotion. But it hasn't been working so far and it's getting rather worse than better at the moment.
According to my opinion it's necessary that they return to their old release and promotion policy and do that even smoother and sharper than before (that means: video + TV spots must be running on TV at least one week before the lead-single's release, so that people watch it by accident a few times, like it and search it on youtube; single/album releases must be close to good promotion opportunities - the release of DDE+TBMU should have been in November between the TV TOTAL appearance and THE DOME). And if you have managed to attract people you can try to release the third or fourth single of an album without bigger promotion, because enough people will inform themselves on your stuff via internet. But the first two singles of an album and the album itself should receive much classical promotion and a good release strategy to bring yourself back into people's minds so that everyone knows "Hey, Scooter are back!"
And inform people about your single/album plans on your official website, facebook, youtube etc. in an interesting way months or weeks before you release the single/album will also be helpful.

This one will be massive, and hopefully it will be the sign of recovery for Scooter.

P.S. I doubt we will have a B-side.

i hope so too, i have a feeling we will see a b side, in scooters eyes right now, they wanna get to the top, and it will encourage sales, besides its been since 2010 since we had a b side.

agree with scooterworld, it seems scooter have been promoting the album and right now all the dates are in the right place for the next singles promotion too
its rather late for promo now, well not now, but it could have been used before the release of the new album,

i recently thought, hmmm i wonder if the delayed album was the main reason why the promo was late and not there, they delayed the album 2 times and angered many fans and so on, perhaps it was to tight to have full promotion at the time, which is why we are starting to see lots now,
also agree with the tv parts here scooterworld, i too think it has had a major effect on scooter, no tv no viewers, no sales, which clearly explains why scooter rely on facebook so much, it is literally the biggest source for news and facts today.

also agree with mr hyper, some valid points their, the only thing i would say is that maybe scooter dont have the power anymore to do this kinda stuff and have to rely on the internet, also a question to those who know, do other kontor acts have similar problems and release policy, and if not, why does scooter, i would have thought with scooter being their biggest artist they would have to have the better promo

Scooter are asking on Facebook for fan videos of fans that dance jumpstyle on " C'est Bleu ". I wonder if their plan is to incorporate the best ones in the video, to make the video more fan-connected so to speak ;)

And I pour the wine.
It's 4 o'clock in the morning,
And it's starting to get light.
