Which is what the whole Scooter spirit is about
you can't deny they really did something risky and new this time![]()
To be honest, the Dubstep parts of the album seem a bit strange and distant to me, but they counteracted it with some REALLY well produced hands up tracks and they did some crazy experimental stuff. For me, I'd prefer a 100 percent, harder and more melodic album like UTROTT, but this is unique and experimental. But at the same time, it's also selling out to David Guetta style tracks, which is a bit hard to comprehend. It makes sense in my mind though - they added that euphoric, Scooter hands up twist to some boring House tracks and made them really memorable.
Can't verify all of this before the album is released, but I'm quite sure thats how I will feel after I listen to the whole thing![]()
I can't say it's bad, because it's great, but I can't say it's great, because it's strange, but I can't say it's strange, because I love the experimentalnes of it, so in the end I can say it's good

Yes, exactly same here! I think most of the fans think in that way.Which is what the whole Scooter spirit is about

I never really posted here much and if I did, I think I was mostly negative, even though I’m fan since 98. But I guess that in the last couple of years, I lost some of the former enthusiasm for Scooter that I had in the Axel or Jay eras. However, even after various disappointments that caused my negativity, I still liked them and like them till now –although probably not as much as in the past – and from time to time (especially when something was about to happen) I checked the forum as well.
Now comes the new album after 2 years and I must say that from the samples, I’m quite satisfied with what they’ve done. I know that many Scooter fans don’t like or even hate this album, at first listening, I also thought that it completely lacks Scooter’s typical energy, but the more I listened to the samples, the more I liked them - especially those on Facebook which are much better than those from Amazon. But after a few listenings, I liked the album even from the Amazon samples, the main reason being precisely the thing, that most dissatisfied fans don’t like – that it’s completely different than previous albums and for me also in a good way. Even though I think that todays mainstream music is becoming in many ways pretty generic with all the artist doing pretty much the same type of electro/house dance songs accompanied by some rapper, I still like it much more that the music which was mainstream in my teenage years (end of 90s/first half of 00s) with various boybands, pop princesses etc. In a way, Scooter are yet another artists jumping on the mainstream bandwagon, but since the bandwagon itself isn’t for me that bad and in terms of their own musical history, it’s something completely innovative, I approve this move. The last two albums where full of cheesy songs that they’ve done million times before with the same old tricks (mainly the overload of HPV), same song structure and minimum new ideas. This new album is however full of new and interesting sounds, audio effects, unusual transitions between song parts, the song structure will in many case probably also be different than the typical ababcb or babacb schemes that Scooter uses… What I also like very much is that they dropped the overusage of HPV (which was for them commercially always very successful) and went with a bold new direction of either using samples from the original song (DDE, TOO) or FINALLY! more of unpitched (but in many cases variously adjusted - e.g. through autotune ) female vocals. It also seems that this time, they ripped more from older songs than from the new or just released ones, which I consider much more fair , because this way it’s not just stealing from other artists for your own benefit and because of your own uncreativity, but also a way of reminding or introducing older songs, often musical classics, to new listeners and thus of a promotion of other musicians (ripping from just released tunes imho creates the impression that other artist steal from Scooter or takes the spotlight from them to Scooter because not many average listeners know or look up the original artists, since the music – in contrast with a familiar tune or refrain from the past -doesn’t sound ripped).
What is interesting that the song from the album, which fans seem to like the most, i.e. C’est Blue, in my case really isn’t that interesting. I’m not saying that it’s bad, I like that they got the original singer to record the chorus for them, but once again, it’s a typical and many times heard Scooter song. The songs like It’s a Biz, Sugary Dip or Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’Roll make me much more excited for the album.
So all in all, it seems that I might be quite happy this time with the full album. After TOO (even though it was a commercial flop), which I also liked very much, I was looking forward to the proclaimed experimental album with house, electro or perhaps even dubstep, so I’m glad, that when they said, that they weren’t as happy with what they had and plan to return more back to the roots, they didn’t scrapped all they’ve done till then and just made another album full of C’est Blue type of songs. I have no doubt that that would make many Scooter fans happy, but for me it would be just another disappointment. That’s all (and I realize it was much of it, so kudos to everyone who managed to get through it here :-) I wanted to say. Over and out. ;-)
Agree, sounds better than what I thought from the Amazon sample. I too had a good laugh at the helium comment.SUMMER DREAM!
I love Scooter's comment: " Too much helium Rick?" hahahahaI have to say this sample sounds much better, far better than what Amazon let us hear
We've got some hardstylish sound back again

Good work with this track...
hahahaha .... but somehow this high HPV fits to this tune. After hearing this new sample I'm far more confident the cheesiest chorus will actually be a good track

btw: Everyone was crying for an experimental album - here it is!
, but for me, i have been waiting since 2004's mind the gap for a album like this, to me i feel you have more choice, this album has the popular dubstep and house elcetro, but also some recent scooter jump/hardstyle and a feel of the old time, also im loving all the female vocals here. What is interesting that the song from the album, which fans seem to like the most, i.e. C?est Blue, in my case really isn?t that interesting. it seems many are now moaning about it, typical forum![]()
