Agree about that bad mixing. I guess it was because they had just moved to the new studio and hadn't learnt the acoustics properly. But in terms of mixing I think UTROTT does it even worse. One thing I especially hate in UTROTT is the big explosion in J'adore, I think it's just too big. Could be just me though.JAOTW sucks harder! TUAO sucks in terms of production, it's an badly mixed album.

I just don't like it being that loud and overwhelming

Ah, the very beginning. I haven't noticed that as any explosion, and it's not too loud for me.
Or at least it sounds like that to me.
