About album and crisis

That delayed the premiere of the album does not necessarily indicate that they have a crisis. But they should introduce freshness to his work. Maybe duets with famous artists, dj's. Proposes Pitbull, David Guetta, Pink did not know. Maybe you have some ideas. It may not have to worry about. HP probably has some idea. We will see for some time.

theirs no way scooter will work with pitbull, guetta or pink, scooter are in a complete different music game from these guys, and it would not fit

in terms of collabs, it will be low profile singers and so in, maybe a suprise act or something, but nothing more,
if so, why could scooter not have these kinda acts at the inferno?

also looking at past collabs,

marc acardipane only decided to work with scooter because the whole 'you sampled my song thing'
i never knew why fatman scoop decided to work with scooter, but i guess he had his reasons

status quo only agreed because scooter were number 1 in the uk, else it would have never happend
and antonella ruggiero to me seemed to work on a good term

That's because he is nothing on his own. A piece of sh*t, if you will. I can't stand him. No one knew who he was before he started collaborating artists bigger than himself.

so was Status Quo and we all know what happened and I actually like that song and the club mix.

i saw guetta on tomorrowland and as a dj he's not good at all. but he has also the felix melodie with snoop dogg just like scooter did. and on collaborating I understand making new tracks or lyrics not like with status quo.

btw ferris was right when we would get the truth (or part of it) around the inferno. scooter fooled everyone again by promising new track while their ain't any just like the turkey tour. they did nothing in the last 2 years already to keep them in the charts and make a big event of the inferno.

probably we'll get a dvd in October (and why not a live album again, people will buy it anyway) and a delayed studioalbum once again.

what I don't understand is that scooter used to make tracks for simon & shahin. and since michael is house dj and hired for the club mixes, why does chris works on the house tracks than? what does michael do in the band and why isn't there an album when they're working with 4 on it?

and I hope with going back to their roots, they don't mean pitched chorusses over and over again but an album with 6 lyrical tracks and 5 instrumentals.
scooter,come back to belgium!!!

I wouldn't mind it, it wouldn't be more than one song anyway. But I don't think it will happen, especially not now when they've (supposedly) changed the album style.
 This is a signature.

Sandra, maybe you'll write a message to Jens and ask him when we can expect The Big Mash Up to be released? Many fans are desperate about the new album and they think that it will be NOT released in Autumn... and they are going mad, they need some information :)

I don't think Jens would want to make any statement, because as we know plans can change, even quite late. I still believe the album will be in the autumn, and I think we will hear the latest updates on Facebook from the guys themselves, but even then things can change if they are not happy with the direction they are going. The guys are back from holiday refreshed now, and probably filled with new enthusiasm and creativity :) I hope we get news through Facebook or an interview soon to confirm the current plans

Haven't posted in a while - I usually pop up near the release of various albums. Sorry, but then I don't think anyone's missing me :)

It's good to know they're back in the studio, somewhat good to know they are reworking too: it's going to be a rushed album? Perhaps, but everyone says UTROTT has been the most rushed album, and I simply adore it. The female vocals on it, the HPV, the massive hardstyle backgrounds... ah, love it. So just sticking to "generic" (compared to Scooter standards at least) house music would not have been such a good idea - but then a simple concept can always work, like on JAOTW, so who knows.

There have been rumors about drum n bass, dubstep moments: now, I absolutely adore these two genres, for the past months I've been living pretty much out of dubstep. Yet, I don't feel they would be able to pull off massive dubstep tunes: to do that, they'd have to drop their own styles and "clichès" and do something totally non-Scooter. Or, do some pseudo-dubstep stuff we could hear from LMFAO, Katy B, Britney Spears and stuff like that, which are not bad per se, but far from the real dubstep tunes.

If these rumors turn out to be false, and they're going back to the roots, where are they going then? FT did bad in the charts, so going back old-style is not necessarily a good idea. They also missed the train for the happy summer album as it's not coming out in August, so they can not rely on the summer parties either. They probably need something pretty jumpy (not necessarily jumpstyle) that is totally catchy and fast too.

Also, they gotta stop following the charts as an indication of what to do. Their worst singles sell more than most artists I listen to. It's not like they actually need a top 10 single every month to survive, unless their record company really is milking them - but come on, this is Scooter we're talking about, they could release stuff for free with buyable editions too (a là Nine Inch Nails), and still make a great profit. I understand selling is an important point, but at this point in their career they could try to do what they WANT, not what they THINK MIGHT SELL.

So, what do I hope? As I said, I want massive tunes that are very energetic and cool, but I also want some good extra vocals. HPV, "real" female vocals, or some Celebrate The Nun-ish moments like Second Skin. As much as my inner dubstep aficionado would love a dubstep release, looking at how house/dance artists fared with dubstep, I say no thanks, even if this is Scooter we're talking about so you never know what can work out.

I can't stop thinking though, that this album might indicate the band's future. If they are satisfied with the album, and it sells well, they continue, if that is not the case... well, I'm not saying they're gonna retire, but they might reform their entire project. The 4th chapter is already longer than usual, but it might see an abrupt ending. 2 bad selling albums in a row, 4 (and 5, 6, 7 if the new album's out and flops) floppy singles in a row are not good points. They really have to invent something massive for this album, but with them having to rewrite everything in just a bunch of months... it doesn't sound good. I am pretty sure that I will personally like it, possibly love it, but the charts will have something else to say. I hope I'm gonna be wrong though, that they can prove me wrong. It would be a shame to lose one of my favourite bands ever.
