its good that they seemingly realized that slow beats with house elements cant work with their own style :)
i hope for a TUAO-like album (without the cheesy stuff in it, with more power though)
man, u said exactly what i wanted!

@Scooterworld: Yeah, I too hope those tracks would get released somehow, in case they're not changing them into some other style. Better an EP half the length of an album than the dustbin, I'd say. It'd be cool, just a small electro-house Scooter EP, and the proper album later.... :D

I hope the album will still retain its diversity even if the main style changes (the guys have mentioned hardstyle, jumpstyle, dnb, dubstep...). Wouldn't mind an electro-house track either, just to see how their take of the genre is.

I just wish they had released TOO much earlier, to see how the crowd reacts to that sort of stuff. :D

these "lost tracks" as b-sides would be cool,
but maybe they'll release the whole album some day when house/electro is definitely the most popular style

Nah, that can take like a 20 year cycle, if ever happening (I hope not :D).

I would like it, if they wanna do SOME electro-stuff like my eyes are dry oder we are the greatest.
But house is really not Scooters cup of tea.
Still don't like TOO that much.
But I'm looking forward to the new album. :)
Don't have to be beautiful...but it helps

Wow... 1 year of work gone? :) Re-working is very hard to, this is like jumping from one style into the other. Well... If they plan to bring their style of the 2nd chapter with modern sounds - i'm in :)

But will the new album be now made in a rush, because it seems they have to start all over again ? So this new release date is maybe a bit to soon .....

Or a 2-CD album, with the real new one, and the dustbin tracks as an extra, provided they are not remade as could be the case ;)

you never know...
UTROTT took them very long and they ripped of more artists than ever before.
Wicked! probably didn't took them much time and it's still a good album.
I don't think they have to start from scratch^

And for Scooter the normal "more time = better album" logic doesn't apply.
It's more like the "give HP less time to write vocals = less and better vocal tracks = better album" logic :P

Hahaha.... that's in a way true. The vocals that are written, are all bombs in that case ;) But well, I'm an vocal track addict, so I atleast need some short vocals in some instrumental to break it up a bit ;)

Personally, I don't care how long it takes them to make it, as long it'll be good.

I am afraid this album will become a mixture of their already finished electro-house tracks and new music style tracks and this means a half finished album. What a desaster.

btw. time to re-think the albums name

Im still not sure if the big mash up is a real name, maybe they they were joking and are gonna present a whole new name when they release the album, because it just sounds so silly and amateurish.
I think they noticed that The Only One didn't do so well, so they thought damn we gotta make a top chart this time.

I'm afraid The Big Mash Up is the real title (and agree that it's both amateurish and silly)... I don't think they've joked about a title before and I think they've said this album title in several places me thinks. But I as well would like a new title...

I don't know to what extent they will lose all the work they have put to the album -- but in the worst case this will indeed become very rushed, if they have to do all the finished (and unfinished) tracks again... Some irony, eh? :D Working hard all year and then doing the thing in two months. :D But on the other hand it's not like they haven't made a good album in a short time before, so I'm not saying it'll be a bad result. And in any case one year of work sets some groundwork for it no matter if they have to change the style -- they have planned melodies, sounds, learned new stuff with the equipment, etc... It may be a surprisingly easy process, especially if they (like I mentioned) feel now a new determination with the change of a style, the style becoming something that is their cup of tea... The chances for a wicked album are good, especially if they're going 'back to the roots' (and now this makes sense, when we know they have dropped the electro-house)!

So this means the next single is cancelled as well as it shoul be electro-house style too and as we know too didnt do that well. So I expect a new single together with the album release and I am sure the album release will be not september. I think very late october / beginning of november.

When you look on at the release dates of the ripped tracks you see that they never take much time working on the songs. It's like they are waiting 2 years and than the last 3 month they ripp of the latest releases of the club scene. When is the next Technoboy release? Probably August? So they need some more time to ripp it. :D Just joking. I don't think they rework the whole album. It will be an album with many styles so they don't need to rework the old so that they fit to the new tracks.

Would sound plausible, otherwise there simply would be not enough time left in a way. And I wouldnt mind a few experiments in electro house, a few tracks, instrumentals maybe ;)
