Recently a lot of strange things happen to Scooter:

- a very bad idea to release FT as a single;
- very poor promotion of both singles;
- music videos released too late / especially FT / - before we got videos up to 3 weeks before the release of the single;
- the idea of exclusive videos /only for MyVideo/;
- Atzen as a support /only I have the impression that they do not fit for TSTI ?/
- and finally shot in the knee - making TSTI BEFORE the album.

What's wrong with you ?

i think we should completely forget another top 10 hit FOREVER,and number1 is just an unreachable dream :( :( :(

I don't think so..most of the German fans buy Scooter singles in the music/electronic stores .- but it wasn't possible to them!

That's fact and the important point. Forget the amazon.de statistics - if they are available in German stores, with a nice melody, a cool video - they get TOP10/20 EASY! That's also fact and reality.

i hope so...im afraid these bad positions stop scooter to make music,althogh their music is awesome...well,lets see what will happen in future :)

When this news about #45 is true, I'm quite dissapointed of it's succes :S I expected atleast a top 20 hit, but even more a top 10.

It doesn't have to enter at Top 10 to be a Top 10 hit. It can climb.

There's nothing wrong with their music, it's wicked as ever, and the new tune is massive and in every respect should have done well. I see this as an accumulation of all these misgivings -- bad single choices (SOR), Friends Turbo as a first sign of life after the studio quiet (and presented as if it were the real new single, on their official page... sigh...) -- I can't stress this enough, lousy promotion, videos too late, the false data of the double A situation not fixed so that stores thought they already had The Only One in their shelves, etc... :cursing: It starts to have an effect because the competitors AREN'T blundering the same way, and not only that, but they're taking full advantage of every means of creating hype... ;( The only thing I can congratulate them of is their recent usage of Facebook to provide us news of all kinds. I start to think they don't even have anyone responsible for their marketing... I truly hope that they don't take this personally and think that people don't like / want their music... The situation could still be fixed if the problems were addressed...
:rolleyes: This is a signature.

I wouldn't think any chart positions will affect Scooter's desire to make music because after all tours are where bands make the most money. So as long as they keep touring and pulling in decent crowds theres no need to worry. Theres many bands certainly here in the UK and I presume worldwide that are ''not on mainstream radio'' so fail to chart well if at all. But yet still continue to tour and remain ever popular.

i dont think the album before the inferno would have made much difference,
personaly i prefer it the way they have done it,
cause now it means we dont have a concept tour like before, TSTI will be an event where anything is possible, and new tracks will be played so it will be more exiting.

regarding the chart possition,
yes it is bad, and we all moaned about it, but as traxx says, it can climb

looking at the points for its bad start

1-the mix up between the double a has made retailers not order the cd,
2-lack of promo, it wasnt the greatest

now look at the positive side,
1-since it was available for pre-order, it has doem really well, and the more things happend, like the pics became available the sales rank went higher, then the samples boosted it
2- finally the video became available, the pre order was higher, also it was no#1 on myvideo for a while,
3-now it is out people will but it, but the lack of cds on shops stopped the early push, and we all know how many fans would rather have the cd than the download. and not everyone will buy online,
4-right, now it has charted, it will now be reconized.

now the future promo
1-the shops will now start getting the cd in stock, clearly a mix up has accured here,
2-the charts will effect the salea as does the video
3-the dome show is very soon, and we all know how much magic that show does to promote
4-finally, TSTI will be the biggest effect,
i would imagine hp will say 'this is our brand new track, which is out now', this will encourage sales, also the 25.000 fans will be buying it, also people in the cinima will become familier to it.

i reckon if it wernt for the shop mistake this single would have made top 20 for sure, and a possible top 10,
it got to 45 with mostly online sales alone, so a good start,
now i reckon the dome next week will be the biggest effect and i recknon it could clinb to the top 30, maybe top 20,
inferno will help keep it in the charts longer, add the weeks kinda,
now i think it is to late for top 10, but if all i said goes like i think it will then i think it can climb to top 20-30,
depending if the public like the track, it will effect the charts,
and so far the feedback has been pretty good

so lets see how it does in the coming weeks
because as said, there is a lot of promo coming

just look at the question, it climbed, as did many of scooter hits in the past

So still there's no confirmed news about the chart entry ? :S I do hope that #45 was wrong.... so it seems we won't get the news earlier than tomorrow, but one thing is sure, if it would have gone top 10 or #1, we would have had a facebook status saying that in a disguised way.

TOO wasn't mentioned in the Media Control News about the upcoming charts, so it's definitely not in the Top10 and very likely not Top20 either :(
