I don't have anything against Heavy Metal.
I'm curious of what this will sound like...

and 3 scooter former hits re-made in a modern style

Well...
If you look into the right thread in this forum, you can see fans wanting Scooter to rework some old songs.
Maybe these 3 tracks are a bonus? One of the is FT I guess and hopefully the other 2 are bonus tracks after the regular 12 tracks.

i hope so too. 'cause 12 tracks minus TOO minus 3 remade tracks minus Intro = 7 new tracks in total ;(

I too hope the 3 re-worked tracks will be a bonus... all this time they've been working on this new album, only for 9 tracks, included TOO and intro? :whistling:

If they made 1/4 of the album re-worked tracks, I don't think that would look very good to the majority. Fans want re-worked tracks, but re-worked tracks should be released as bonus only.
I don't think those will be a part of the standard 12 tracks, but we'll see...

I roughly translated the newspaper article:

Quoted

Scooter in a new way.

the 3 guys from hamburg will never settle down.
H.P. Baxxter revealed what fans were waiting for since 2009.
The new album The Big Mashup will be released in summer 2011.
At the moment the 3 guys dont give much informations about the upcomming album but rick says:
"...the new album will be pioneering and we fullfilled the wishes of many fans and produced 3 of our older hits in a new way..."
For the first time in the bands history scooter will have collaborations with well known artists from the electro-house genre.
But there will be some surprises as well H.P. said: "... in may we are about to release our first new track of the upcomming album, the only one. In this track we are using hard beats with fast heavy metal for the first time in our history. The new album will be released in august 2011.

Heavy Metal??!?!? It sounds awful in concept, but I will reserve judgement until I hear it. I dont consider heavy metal to be "music", buts that only my opinion.

I think people are over-reacting about the "3 re-worked" tracks. Its just 3 tracks!!!!!! Friends Turbo was admittedly "ok" but that was their first re-work. The others might be done better, now that they have practiced.
"The Big Mash-Up" sounds exciting to me!!!! I makes me imagine a wide range of wonderfully fresh ideas. All incorporated into 12 (hopefully) extraordinarily done and different tracks. Its like a food sample platter, something for everyone!

wtf?! not heavy metal!

to make it short: too will be a mix of techno and heavy metal. electro-house style on the upcomming album as well in colaboration with big names of this genre and 3 scooter former hits re-made in a modern style ;(

Looks like a fake pic.
But if this is true, I'm really curious about The Only One! Really interesting!
P.S. I'm kindda fan of the Heavy Metal of the 80s.

But I don't believe this info. Can somebody proove such article really exists. I believe it's a totally fake.

Flying-Dutchman, why do you posting this fake? I just don't get it. You're so strange for about two months :)) LOL

I say it's fake. And it's not a photo. It's a web-template with a user text added. What are we talking about? Why do you act like a troll last days?

fanatism all over the forum, except 2 or 3 users. a little bit of neutrality would be very healthy for this forum.

It's not neutrality. It's just stupid.
YOU were one of these blind fans a few months ago and now you're teaching others? Pfff...

I agree, that some criticism is nice for this place, but not such a bullsh#t like trolling and posting some fakes.
