Drums?

Okay, I know I'll sound like an idiot, but I'll try to made as much sense as I can. In some trance songs, there is a bassline or drums or sorts. It's in some Scooter tracks like How Much Is The Fish?, Hands Up! and Suavemente (The single version). Can somebody please tell me what the drum/bassline is called?

That bassline sound was very popular in 90s house hits. Basically it's a roto-organ clone, found in most of the synths used in the eurotrance era - Nord Lead 2, Roland JP-8000 etc. It was the base of what we now call the donk ;)
It's an FM modulated square wave width adjusted pulse width and some stereo chorus fx. Nothing special.

@Imre -SP-, you are very knowledgeable about this particular sound. ;) I'm assuming that it's possible to make 'the donk' sound in Logic Pro 9/Studio using the native plugins?

I love experimenting with analog sound synthesis, I even have a Korg R3 wavetable synth that I can tweak my own sounds out of :) Making a resonant kickdrum, a killer bassline, a noisy lead out of a simple sinewave -> best thing ever :D

I've never used Logic, so I don't know what it's native plugins can do, but if they have basic squarewave oscillators and a few base effects, I guess it can be done in a few seconds.
