I suppose that the fact you didn´t liked the original that much, is the reason this remake is also not to your taste. But I think people that liked FRIENDS, will be happy with this remake. Its a matter of taste as always. But I respect your opinion. ;)

They just did the same trick as with the "new" how much is the fish from the tour.
Just new drums, new bass, more H.P. shouts, and keep the rest the same.


I only might like the DnB mix, if it will turn out to be more bass heavy than this sample. If it's just Friends Turbo, but with dnb beat and bass to fit the new beat I would be disappointed. And judging by the sample it'll be just that.

There was a DnB remix of Friends (which was exactly the same like the one they are releasing now) around from years. Some fan made it.

I haven't been on here today before now, and I saw news about real samples on FB :P
I gotta say - awesome! I love the samples, and if the full versions aren't too different, I think I'll buy this single :D

Anyone have a clue about which 2 versions will be on the physical 2-track single? As Friends Turbo (Movie Version) and Friends Turbo sounds the same, I expect 1 of those + Drum 'n' Bass Mix to be on the 2-track.

This seems to be the single most ridiculous release yet from Scooter. V.v.lazy. Not too dissimiliar to the original Friends, but not many changes either. Not enough to warrant a single release. Wont be buying this.

Lets hope TOO and the future releases are fresh and original. Not a money making opportunity like this, to take more money from fanatics fooled into buying a new Scooter release when really its just a re-release of a nigh on 20 year old tune.

Must ...try ... harder ... Scooter.

Whereas I love the sound and think it's a nice indicator of the power of their new sound, I still think we could have lived without this. Oh well, it's coming in two weeks, no point to complain about that anymore, I guess. And perhaps it will turn out for their advantage, I hope that... This sounds cool, but I don't think it's even nearly as cool as the next totally new single. That's why I'm annoyed by the news on the official page -- all that stuff about the wait finally being over, etc. People who haven't followed the story think this is the next single, the stuff Scooter has worked on for a long time -- and it's obviously not. This is probably something they did quite fast -- a tight schedule obviously -- and not the real new stuff that should have appeared. Their marketing team should be more careful with what they write. :cursing:

My two cents here:

I dont hear a difference between the movie and non-movie versions.....But I am in love with this new style! Its a hard-body and heart thumping bass!!!!!! I don't think its at all a lazy remake. Its a fresh modern look at a Scooter Classic! HP added new lyrics (from what I hear) and changed only few things and he kept the aspects that make the original "Friends" awesome.

The Drum and Bass sounds kinda similar, which I don't really like, but I think it a nice version too. Its a bit more complex.

Over all Good Job Boys! Looking forward to the Album! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Well a whole album remake of The Beat Goes On would be better than Scooter trying to come up with new tunes. Friends, though, was one of the worst tracks of the first chapter. Too childish.
