Hm....for me there wasn't a "red line" in Scooter albums until "JAOTW". Personally, I believe that they do better music without having a clear line, cause the songs from TSTE, MTG, TUAO, WBTN (etc.) have so many different styles that I think there was no real "idea" behind of these albums.

Very good point! You can read my mind. :D

But I also think, that hardstyle very fits Scooter and it was album with idea. I want such an album.
Well, if you listen to UTROTT (let's take state of mind for example) you can hear that they want to put something trancy into a hardstyle beat-construction and it sounds a little bit "unreal" in the chorus. A typical trance-beat would fit better to this track. So why did they not make a trance track from the very beginning?
The bridge between chorus&verse in bit a bad boy sounds also very improperly. The slow Ballad-Chorus doesn't really fit to this hardstyle-elements, so they tried to connect this two different styles with that noisy sound.

So please, no more concept-albums! :D
Don't have to be beautiful...but it helps

I don't see why an album needs a red line, or clear ideas. Making music you like, isn't that what's important?
Why do the songs need to fit together, if they are just good?

if scooter followed the same element from the start they would have finished before the second chapter started,
people would be saying how they are the same all the time

but scooter decided to experiement back in 96 and it has mostly pulled of,
you can clearly see hoe TUAO was a low point for scooter, the trance sounds have been used by scooter since 99
and in the end TUAO was basicly a mix of scooter sounds put togehter, as good as the album is, it had no real fresh appeal to it

then scooter took on jumpstyle, they were able to use the modern jumpstlye and fuse it with there style of music making, and add the old skool feel to it
the resuld by far wasnt perfect, but it worked, it put scooter back in the firing line and suddenly scooter were back on the case, UTROTT took a follow up approuch, didnt do as well, but the album was better made to scooter

now scooter are yet again by the sounds of things going to follow a new direction and head to the popular electro scene, fuse it with the brand, and the final result will be as always, good or bad, and its success will follow the same good or bad treatment,

although i have a feeling it is gonna be pretty succesful

@Kelvo: don't forget that even if TUAO it's not their best album, it's a masterpice comparing to JAOTW and UTROTT. A REAL Scooterfan will apreciate TUAO much more than JAOTW and UTROTT. Personally i don't give a damn about new comercial shi!t style's. Not everything new is necessary good;) Well, we discussed this so many times and i know they have to evolve, everything is changeing and i know and i accept it. I don't wanna look like an old man stucked with his old ideas and always complaining but one thing is sure: Scooter will never have the same succes with jump/hardstyle or electro like they had in 2003 with TSTE wich is based on trance. Ofcourse if they would kept "that" formula people would say: "Oh yes, they found the magic formula and now they are keeping this style because this formula (style) is a money source" I know they have to change sometimes, and i was always (almost) pleased with their experiments (except Suavemente & Shake That); i admire them for experiments. And there is another 100% sure thing: No matter what they do, it's impossible to please everyone. No matter how good or bad is the upcoming album, there will be people who will like it or hate it. Ofcouse you can ask me "who are u to tell what's good or bad in Scooter's discography?". I do not claim that i hold the absolute truth in music, i'm not a music expert....but if u ask, most of the fans will say what i said;) Honestly i don't give a damn about the style of the upcoming style, i know Scooter is very capable to release a bomb album (like TSTE), they have the potential for another TSTE but there is one thing missing in Scooter's music since 2007: the passion:( JAOTW and especially UTROTT sounds good but....same synths in every track, too many ripped things. It's like they had in mind "Ok let's do another seller just to earn money because there are plenty fanatics who will buy every CD with the name of Scooter on it":( I don't care about how much money they earn or loose in the music, i'm sad because they lost someting priceless: THE RESPECT.

I'm not a real fan, the way many others here are, but I like TUAO much more than JAOTW and UTROTT :D
Although there are some things on TUAO I don't like, but those are minor.

I've really enjoyed the last couple of themed albums, and I very much hope for another themed album. We have a lot of collections of different style albums, that's been the history but the present is one style per album to show how diverse Scooter's music is within the dance genre.

What is a real Scooter fan, and according to who? And why does he/she has the authority to define what is a real Scooter fan?
That's right, what you're saying is entirely pointless. I consider myself a real fan, but I enjoyed JAOTW and UTROTT much more than TUAO.
Commercial or not, it doesn't affect the quality of the product, it's only an aspect that some people somehow deem as a negative in some level if it's "commercial". Scooter itself has always been commercial. And why do you think they lost the respect? Because they rip so many things from other artists? In that regard Scooter lost the respect right from the beginning. What comes to passion, I think they have got it and they still have it. It hasn't gone anywhere.

I consider myself a real Scooter fan. I think it's more about getting off your ärse to go and see them live and enjoying what they release rather than living in the past and moaning that the new stuff is rubbish. Personally I love it all, so tough titty.
Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong.

Good point there ;) But still, even if Scooter is more commercial the last years, it's by far not mainstream commercial. Scooter are commercial in it's own musical genre I would say, but not in the general music scene. But well, we have now far more commercial artist in Scooters genre like mr. Guetta or Tiesto and so on, so Scooter is by far the least commercial of those artists I would say.

And about ripping and copying -> Somehow I noticed in the dance scene we have now tons of "Swedish House Mafia" like songs and many "Duck Sauce" inspired tracks. So nowedays it seems most of the scene is getting very copy-addicted ;) There aren't any saints anymore, but some still feel like it

Meh, I like Owl City more and would therefore much rather get off my ass and go out of my way to see Adam perform. I still nonetheless like Scooter's music though. I hate this whole elitist attitude of who's a bigger fan of this or that... It's totally juvenile.

Before SWM it was the house/tech Major Lazer/Samson etc. type stuff, before that it was cheap electro/house covers (thanks to Eric Prydz), before that cheap trance covers (thanks to something else, probably DJ Sammy)...it's always present, everyone copies each other etc.

Maybe they're ready to conquer UK again? :P Anyway -- yes! Finally something!! Now it starts, kind of. I like this crazy teaser. :D I think I hear some orchestral sounds in the beginning -- but can't identify anything more. Maybe some sort of horn when the sample is reaching the end? (Or then it's some unrelated background noise.) Can't wait to hear something properly.

Well, they might play on a party for the Queen :P
But the fact we got this video is atleast once again a sign of life from te studio, and it shows they're still having much fun in the studio and buy things, like the Queen, to make it even more fun :D
The only thing I hear is some sort of horn, yes....but probably its just some noise that happend to be there, maybe it was a horn from a boat ?
The title of the vid is really funny, so let's see what it will have for a connection with the new single. I hope we will hear more soon :)
