Would they actually be in any way responsible for planning the Inferno at this stage? I find it difficult to accept that this is inhibiting production of new material. And I don't think they'd be greatly involved in it at this point either.
www.facebook.com/mraudityI want to believe in the theory that they this time won't have promo long before (and to note, Scooter always keeps the promo time quite short compared to some bands that tell of a new record half a year before its release) the first single: that all of a sudden they'll bombard us with news and a new single (yeah, I might be dreaming still, I just woke up... perhaps...).I would say that there are signs of it, with their showing their faces in the newspaper advertisements, steady-ish updates in Facebook about Inferno... But I just hope the day will be soon because it's getting so unbearable! I get my hopes up every Monday and Friday, let's see what this week brings...
But as you say, the fact they appear more and more in adds, so show their faces, would be logical also as promo built up to a new release that will be presented in the near future

They're probably the ones who are planning the entire event, what songs there'll be, what kind of effects they want, where, etc., and of course the reworked tracks. BUT, as I think too, this is not interfering with the new album. As aganim said, it was indeed something like that, a really short time that they needed for JAOTW. (And they already said before that news item that they're working on the new album, so they've been working on it since before November already.) I don't think time is any issue here. I hope Rochen is right and we're that close to the next single. I wish they tried to build some hype for it by giving some news of it before it's released, but that might not happen.I can't seem to picture what they'd specifically be required to do. I mean, they're not organizers and therefore play very little role in preparing for the event itself. The update has said that they're back in the studio too working on the forthcoming record. From what I can tell they've just been making the tour posters and other promotional material viral. Nothing that would entail postponing the engineering and launch of new material. And I still haven't seen anything that contradicts the tentative release for the Spring... So it'll be before the Inferno. The Inferno takes place in the Summer.
This is a signature. Another question: What was the longest time we had to wait for a new album? Wasn't it TUAO was it?
But when you look at the waiting time just in between some releases, I would say we had to wait quite a long time for for TUAO, but also it was quite a break between the "original" JAOTW album and UTROTT
So there have been big gaps before, but the sometimes have been filled up with special editions of album, like JAOTW-WYW and with Live albums
