He means your guess about waiting for another 2 weeks is a good guess, you are near the release date with your guess.

Since some weeks (when reading some of peters posts) I got the feeling user Peter Scotland knows a bit more than we do :whistling:

OK- so here is some speculation by me.

Die Atzen have a single called "Strobo Pop" coming out on 11.3.2011. Kontor won't want to release a Scooter single around that period, so Atzen can have it's time and then Scooter. The Atzen Musik album (A new one) is coming out a week later, on 18.3.2011. ATB is also releasing an album in April. So Kontor must be planning these out well so they all have time to sell, so either Scooter will have their single REALLY soon, or late April... and then maybe the album in May. That looks like the most logical conclusion.

The album is probably undergoing final process within the next few weeks, and March it will be undergoing mastering.

I think the new single will be released in April, and the album in May. I hope that March will be just a little bit news. God... how I tired of waiting!!

March 11 is 20 days away... so if Scooter are attempting to release the 1st single beforethat, they will have to do it within the next 2 weeks.
Personally, I'd love that, but I don't see the chance being very high.

But time will tell.

To be totally honest, I just don't see a way of anything from Scooter being released before May. Kontor will be crowded with ATB & Atzen till late April. My guess is Single - May, Album- June. Right before the Inferno.

20 days away is March 11th, but keep in mind the single would need to be released sufficiently before atzen, like 2 weeks. So, if it's coming soon, it would be in around a week. But since we've heard nothing and there is no promotion...

I really don't know about all that -- how dependent Scooter sales are of (the lack of) other releases. They have such a large and loyal fan base... I can't see other releases taking away Scooter's sales (other way around, if anything). Plus Kontor is a big label and releases something constantly... The reasoning is good but I'm not convinced yet. But I hope we'll see soon...

Yup. You're probably right.
I guess 1st single - late April/early May, and album - late May/early June.

It seems my prediction in the "Predict the big dates" topic is still possible :D :D
I predicted the single release on 11 March 2011 and the album release on 1 April 2011 :D

But I start to slowely doubt my prediction a bit, because in that case we should have had atleast a bit of info that would tell us they're in the end stage of producing the first single release. But well, it might be that suddenly we get the news, it can be even this monday for all I know ;)

The forthcoming albums launch won't be as late as June given that the update regarding its release states that it's tentatively scheduled for a Spring slot. "The guys are working hard to record the brand new material, which you will be able listen to on the next studio album which will be released in Spring 2011". Unless I've missed something that contradicts this, which I don't believe to be the case. Rick also informed someone here that he expects the new material to surface sometime around April. Although it's difficult to piece together given the first bit of info we received about it reportedly said it'd be next month. And then there's the question of whether or not this'll be a single off the album or the record itself. Considering we've heard nothing promotion wise with the new single, I think the latter is unlikely. I'm just sick of all this waiting quite frankly. If I was to hazard a guess, I'm expecting them to release the new album in May. In other words, very late in the Spring.

some fair points well made,
and almanic could well be right,
the last thing scooter want is a dance clash to the top
the right timing could have a big effect in the chart success

also as said, where is the promo
i have known in the past scooter singles have shown up online months before it s release,
so i too think we have a wait ahead of us, unless scooter decide to suddenly release a quick hit as an intro to the music scene
as a lot of artists seem to do theses days

on the other hand scooter have slightly changed the site and facebook is having regular updates
also scooter seem to be hitting the news sites and papers lately
so they could be looking for a way to show their faces, get some intrest and them BOOM comes the news

also one point no one has mentioned yet is scooter will be wanting to plan the inferno, a late album release could hinder this
scooter hopefully will release the album soon, march/april,
their gonna need time to prepair for this event, although alot cant be done till the last minute
on the other hand scooter seem to be concentrating on the inferno alot lately so i would imagine they have a fair idea of what there gonna do,
but if scooter wanna re edit any tracks then an early release of the album will be needed, unless scooter have delayed the release to fully concentrate on the inferno
but new material is certanly needed to increse the exitement

I think they're preparing for the Inferno along with making the new album. And some work they've already done, such as a new version of Posse that was played somewhere in sound-check. Most likely they have done more already. I want to believe in the theory that they this time won't have promo long before (and to note, Scooter always keeps the promo time quite short compared to some bands that tell of a new record half a year before its release) the first single: that all of a sudden they'll bombard us with news and a new single (yeah, I might be dreaming still, I just woke up... perhaps...). 8) I would say that there are signs of it, with their showing their faces in the newspaper advertisements, steady-ish updates in Facebook about Inferno... But I just hope the day will be soon because it's getting so unbearable! I get my hopes up every Monday and Friday, let's see what this week brings...

Would they actually be in any way responsible for planning the Inferno at this stage? I find it difficult to accept that this is inhibiting production of new material. And I don't think they'd be greatly involved in it at this point either.

it's taking too long! i really hope this one will rock but i'm afraid it will be as mediocre like the last one and full of rips, probably from electrohouse tracks. i'm afraid there will be around 10 vocal track and probably that's the reason why it's taken so long. they should go back to basics and release 2 or 3 singles from on album and go on to another album. 6 vocal track on an album means 2 albums every year instead of one every 1,5 years like with the last ones (this and the previous).

and as i said before. what about the next tour in February/March next year? there won't be a new album than since they are planning everything for the inferno now. deep inside i hope they are working on a double album. or I hope they go back in studio after the inferno like the good old days...
