Can't sleep

Someone else having troubles with sleep?
I get up early these days.
I run something that could be described as a "business"
It requires lots of thinking and its a lot of hassle.
Im tired.

I havent slept for more than 5 hours in the past week.

In the same time, the more tired I am, the less likely I am to be able to get
to sleep.

What Can I Do?
I've tried lots of thing, but nothing seems to work out.

Well, alcohol kinda helps, but I ran out of it yesterday.

Drink some hot milk or tea, have a good bath, place yourself in your bed and close your eyes. And if nothing works, just lay in your bed.
Feel the energy inside!

I'm a neurotic mess so I stay awake most nights just thinking endlessly about what I've done or said to someone. I have brought myself to tears over thinking what sort of impression I've made to someone I've spoken to. To add insult to injury I also get IBS symptoms when I haven't gotten enough sleep or feel overly anxious; bringing me physical grief as well as psychological. And I just generally have all these thoughts, worries and doubts unremittingly circling inside my head.

A couple of days ago I banged my head against the wall to try and make it stop. You know, I know I'm really crazy but I figure there's a few others like me who are deprived of sleep for neurotically over thinking things like me out there somewhere. I suppose I derive comfort from that! One thing that I attempt to use in aiding sleep is a nice warm bubble bath with this sexy product - http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/radox-her…asy_1_3686.html - which sometimes works wonders. Gotta give it to Radox for formulating something as miraculous as this.

Or you could try sleeping pills... But I'd opt for the natural options if I were you. Just to be on the safe side.

Kriszti Yeah, baths help sometimes. And whiskey works better than milk. I actually dont like milk.

May, whats an IBS syndrome?
Are you an OCD person?
Seems like you also "analyze" the day when you go to bed, like I do.

Probably you should make a paradigm shift in your mindset
<<Never care about anyone's opinion of yourself but yours>>

I've had OCD ruled out as a growing list of problems in therapy.

IBS is a disorder of the bowel. Every now and then I get major cramps in my lower abdomen, and it's both precipitated and exacerbated the more depressing my mood. There isn't anything physically wrong with the organ itself but patients go through a range of nasty symptoms like constipation, diarrhoea, and the cramping which I predominately get. It doesn't affect sleep that much as when you sleep your bowel sleeps with you. It's just something I could really do without given my predicament at the moment. Damn it.

I wish I could adopt that my philosophy of not caring what anyone thinks. Believe me, I've tried to brush off all these neurotic feelings but I've never been able to resist getting myself in a mess. I'm just gonna have to accept the fact that I'm incredibly neurotic and over sensitive.

I feel your pain. I have very very troubling problems with a few of my organs...

You gotta download and listen to Anthony Robbins' Personal Power tapes.

They are amazing!
