What Happened To "The Ultimate Aural Orgasm" ?

Hello folks,

what happened to TUAO? I knw that the two songs which got released were not successfull but is this a reason to make like "the album did not exist"? It seems to me that Scooter has totally forgotten the album and its great tracks. On concerts they do not play songs from that album except LUT, they did not release further single after relasing BTC and LUT although in my opinion there are some great tracks on it with hit potential like The S**t that killed elvis or the united vibe.

It's like they never released the album but why?

Ratty's Revenge, Imaginary Battle and Scarborough Affair are amongst my favourite Scooter tracks. Maybe TUAO material will make a re-appearance on future tours, I think they just have so many good tracks to choose from to fit into a 2hr concert.

HP said in an interview that he doesn't know what did they exactly do when they made this album. (He said the same about Sheffield.)
I think it's an awesome album, one of my favourites.
I feel the same about WGTLLN, it's my favourite album and they just don't play anything of this.

LIke if these albums weren't release. X(

TUAO is one of the very few albums, where I don't skip a song while listening to the cd

I acquired this snippet of information from the BME festival interview documented on the 15/9/2009 on Jay's site;

Quoted

STHU: You say that you don't like the track "I'm Your Pusher" and the album "Sheffield", but you never said why. It's not a bad track, and the album became gold in many countries.
H.P.:
Yes, yes, 'Sheffield" isn't that bad, but sometimes in your career you come to a point, where you don't know which way to go. It was the same at "The Ultimate Aural Orgasm" - it was an album without a special concept. We produced it, but we didn't know exactly what we were doing. Same goes for "Sheffield", when we came up with "I'm Your Pusher", we tried the best we could, but at the end, we were not happy with it. That just happen sometimes, we have nearly 50 singles released now, and I think it's natural that you don't like all of them equall

Given that the gang had no clue as to the direction of the first album from the Fourth Chapter, they did a pretty damn impressive job of producing a memorable album! I wrote quite a long and detailed post about the greatness of the TUAO in another thread, in which I basically theorized about the twisted redundancy of releasing an album with tracks that border on perfection. I'm not sure you could apply this standard in the same way for 'Sheffield', as some of its pieces were a little bizarre-- although in a good way, I suppose. I can see how 'Sheffield' is perceived by the group in a negative light, as it is a little different compared to their other work. But I honestly fail to grasp how you could lump TUAO with 'Sheffield' and not see how strikingly different they are!

It seems incomprehensible to me that they'd try exhaustingly to put some of the classics from TUAO behind them. Saying that, I have seen a number of forum members on here praise 'Sheffield' as one of the most unique and experimental albums to date. In the end, it's all subjective. It's just a shame that they try to neglect performing tracks like 'Behind The Cow' (Jay's favorite), The United Vibe, Scarborough Affair... The tracks that we all know and love.

TUAO is a great album, I love many of the tracks on it!

- Horny In Jericho is a nice intro, dark and interesting at the same time.
- Behind The Cow is good, but the Zippidy-parts and the Fatman Scoop-rap parts annoys me.
- DTFHC? is good. A nice mix of rock-sound and dance.
- The United Vibe kicks ass! My favourite HP-track on the album.
- LUT is okay, kinda addictive, but boring in the long run.
- U.F.O. Ph. is great and addictive.
- Ratty's Revenge is okay, but I hate Nikk's part, it doesn't fit to the rest... it's annoying, imo.
- TSTKE is awesome!
- Imaginary Battle is okay, but not my fav. I love the HPV, though.
- Sc. Affair is great, but I hate Nikk's part. SOmething like in Sc. Reloaded would have been awesome.
- East Sands Anthem is good.
- LIAO is great too, a perfect end of the album.

TUV and TSTKE would have been much, much better as singles instead on BTC and LUT.
Sc. Affair, reworked with a new chorus, could have been a good 3rd single.
" Brilliant! ...I have absolutely no idea what's going on... "

Indeed, it is a great album :)

One of the reasons I think they don't do "Behind The Cow" live is because that would require Fatman Scoop, and a playback isn't nearly as good ;)

Well, they play Ti Sento also and Antonella Rugierro isn't there, so they could very well also play BTC and only show Fatman on some screen, like in the video. ;) I would love to hear it live one day, but I have the feeling we will never get this track at a concert ever :S

Behind The Cow was played at the festival in Greena, Denmark in 2007, and H.P. did the rap part himself :)

My faves are BTC, LUT, UFO Phenomena, TSTKE, Imaginary Battle, East Sands Anthem and Love Is An Ocean. So over half the album for me is great.

The guys just seem to have their favourite tracks, including album tracks, that they like to rehash at the live performances and ignore a vast quantity of forgotten gems. I am for instance getting sick of hearing The Chaser at concerts, and would prefer it if they played Like Hypa Said for example instead.

It's a pity that Scooter seem to pretend like this album never got
released. Instead they play a lot of tracks from what I consider to be
inferior albums like No Time To Chill and The Stadium Techno Experience.

With regard to the comparison between Sheffield and TUAO, I like both albums but probably consider TUAO superior by a small margin. The first 2 tracks from Sheffield are excellent and leaving you wanting more, but sadly the rest of the album peeters out in my opinion. Space Cowboy and Never Slow Down are nice instrumentals, but the final 2, for me leave something to be desired. She's The Sun is a great track, but Sex Dwarf and Summer Wine I can barely listen to all the way through. So it's an album I pick and choose from whenever I open the folder on my computer, as opposed to TUAO which I can easily listen to all the way through.

Scooter finally in some sort of way played another track from this album on the UTROTT tour: "Scarborough Reloaded"....I know, I know....it's totally different to "Scarborough Affair", but still they seemed to love the chorus and made a track with it that they liked to play live....but still, I would love to hear "Scarborough Affair" or "Ratty's Revenge" live....but that will never happen... I lost hope that they will play them one day.... :S

I donīt understand this too. They like their concept-albums and donīt like what I would call "pure Scooter-sound"? TUAO consists of wonderful tracks. Really exciting, brilliant stuff! But hey, they canīt like everything equal and every fan has itīs own favourites. We got these tracks forever in our players and our hearts.

Yeah, it's a bit strange, and the most interesting thing is that most of the fans think totally the opposite on this issue...the albums like Sheffield or TUAO are considered by the fans as masterpieces, and the band considers them medium because of no clear way in the sound. It seems Scooter like framed concept albums ;)

They are also the least "Mainstream". If you were to play Nessaja, most people would recognize it, but Lass Uns Tanzen, not so much.

That's a fact ;) The HPV tracks are the most mainstream tracks if you would ask people what artist did that certain track....the other tracks are "unknown" to them, yes ;)
