Maybe someone will translate this article into English? I really want it for my site! It's kindda interesting. Some facts about H.P..

For his tracks one text part is most of the time enough, with that HP Baxxter hyper-ventilates his band Scooter again and again into the charts. In the SchoolSPIEGEL-question-formular the techno MC tells, that he almost became a merchant , and how he considers himself: WICKED!

-1- HP is nowedays techno MC because he is a better MC than a singer, and that MC-ing makes the typical Scooter sound, and because there are no oponents / concurence.

-2- If he wouldn't have become a techno MC, he would maybe have tried further as a singer, or he would have made a career as dental-merchant

-3- In school he was most of the time occupied with writing texts for his school band "Century", or he was dreaming about the Fender Stratocaster and therefor did 2 honorable rounds

-4- His cassmates liked him very much, because before they could get on eachothers nerves, he was gone already.

-5- When HP was 17 he dreamed that he as a re-incarnation of Ritchie Blackmore would start the reunion of the band Deep Purple. But a little while later (when he was 18 ) Depeche Mode 'entered' his life, and he wanted to be as a singer just as famous as Dave Gahan.

THE REST FOLLOWS ;)

-6- He knew that he wanted to become Techno MC when he was infected by the rave-virus, and when the attempt to get succesfull career with the band CTN didn't work out.

-7- HP was never too lazy to clean the studio aquarium. But he would never want to iron anything.

-8- HP gets upset about the fact that the regulatory and prohibition delusion of the government slowly takes on grotesque forms and the really important things are flogged to death on an amateurish way only. Furthermore, the media brainwashing of the people nears the limit of endurance.

-9- The decisive moment in his career was ... Hyper Hyper!

-10- H.P. Baxxter would like to be for a day ... boss at Jaguar and would immediately build the E-Type again.

-11- The best day of his life was ... when Scooter got the number one in the UK album charts. But in the private life there have been several such days

-12- His biggest mistake was that he had chosen Latin instead of French in school.

-13- HP considers himself WICKED

-14- HP wishes to the next H.P. Baxxter ... that he will address some things a little more relaxed and that he will not always strive for perfection.

-15- When he could live his life over again, then ... he would do all the same again like he did in his life, unfortunately, probably also he would make the same faults again.

And Gothic DOES exist!

Yesterday I visited a Gothic Club with dance areas and gues what? They played Lass Uns Tanzen. The great thing is that as soon as the song was played the dance area was filled up with full of gothics dancing to Lass Uns Tanzen. Later on I talked to the DJ and he said this song gets played very often in this club as the gothics are in love with this song / the song has a high request

So, H.P. is wrong when saying "Gothic dos'nt exist" :-)

By the way, I recommend to everyone visiting a gothic club once in a life time, it's fantastic!

I don't like gothics, so no thanx :) But the information about Lass Uns Tanzen popularity in gothic masses is interesting, thank you.

I can't say I'm surprised. :D

Lass Uns Tanzen is invariably dark with the promiscuous message it conveys, which neatly fits into their sub-culture of everything self-admittedly 'grotesque' and out of the ordinary. I can actually picture groups of Goths converging on the dance floor to dance to its slow and mellow vibe. And not being Gothic myself, I'd imagine I'd be quite unwelcome and conspicuous going to one. I certainly don't dislike Goths though, as I know someone I hold dear to be one.
