Hmm, if you don't mind paying a bit more, try djshop.de, it works internationally. Junodownload.co.uk also works ;)

When AATW started releaseing Scooter in the UK again a lot of releases from other sites like iTunes were restricted it seems to me, as this was when a lot were removed. I can understand that AATW don't want the new stuff available on iTunes before a UK release, but not sure why the old ones also went

Edel UK went under and AATW now have the rights to Scooter, but NOT their back catalogue. ONLY the stuff they released under AATW. All their old tracks were deleted (apart from a few) when JAOTW was put on iTunes.

So theres no chance of the music being put back on there.. I mean The sound above my hair EP hasnt even been uploaded

no the music will most likely never be put back on there. The sound above my hair hasn't been added because it wasn't released. It was set for a digital only release on 15th february but AATW scrapped it for some reason.

Arnt Scooter signed also to sheffield records? cant they do anything :S

you will have to get someone to fully confirm this: but i think this is how it works.
Scooter are signed to Kontor Records, Sheffield tunes are a sub-label of Kontor records which Scooter are also signed to. All Around The World are Scooter's U.K. label they have permission from Kontor to release Scooter in the U.K. As was said earlier Scooter were signed to Edel U.K. until they went bust, then they were signed to AATW in 2004 everything released before then on itunes has now been deleted.

I dont think Edel Uk went bust, as they have just signed a deal with Absolute Music/EARmusic for record distribution. From what I remember AATW took over as the UK record label from Jigga Jigga onwards.

I'll try and find out whats happened to the old singles/remixes/albums and why they aren't available on Itunes UK.

Kontor have nothing to do with Scooter in the UK and Ireland. AATW own the rights to distribute Scooter's work as they are Scooter's label, Sheffield Tunes (according to someone at AATW is a 'sub-label' of AATW, just as AATW is a sub-label of UMTV.

Here's another interesting fact, since AATW took over from Edel they have never had a top 20 single in the UK. That blows.

Kontor and AATW are both part of the Universal Group and work in partnership, Sheffeild Tunes is a sub label of Kontor formed by Scooter as far as I am aware - I think it's sort of going a bit far to say Sheffield is a sub-label of AATW; I suppose it depends a lot on interpretation but Sheffield had been around before AATW were Scooter's UK label

If they are in the Universal Group, why does a very tiny company called Napith run the US sales?

i suppose none of the other sub-labels wanted to release scooter in the usa, and then napith came along and said we'll do it :)

I think Napith was founded by a number of European labels to promote European Dance music in the US::

European Dance Label Launched In U.S.
October 22, 2009 - Global | Indies | Dance
The German companies Kontor Records, Hamburg and Kontor New Media, Hamburg have joined with the Dutch online store Cloud 9 Music, the Dutch Label Armada Music and the U.S. agency Asseri Music Business Solutions, owned by the lawyer Kurosh Nasseri, to start a joint venture in New York under the name Napith Music.

The new company will issue European dance music in the U.S. The first releases of the Napith Music label included a new album from German band scooter and a compilation of the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren.

Kontor Records is a subsidiary of Edel AG in Hamburg that owns 50.19%. Kontor Records releases artists such as Scooter, Alexander Marcus, Tiesto, Filur, Moonbootica, D.O.N.S. and the catalog of the Berlin base label Low Spirit.

Kontor's founder and CEO Jens Thele said in a statement: "This new alliance offers artists to build up a career and a long-term presence in North America."

Sheffield Tunes is a registered company in the UK. I think the wording is as follows.

Sheffield Tunes under exclusive license to AATW ltd./UMTV. A division of Universal Music Operation Limited.

Yes, I know they are under licence to AATW, but didn't know they were a registered company in the UK as well

I am not so sure Sheffield Tunes are a registered company in the UK ... I think the wording refers to AATW as the registered company?

I think I agree Dave, and certainly can't find any details of it listed as a UK company
