It really is! So awesome  There's just one problem with it: It's way too short. I would be so great having a 6-7 minute version of this. Can't understand why they didn't to that in the first place. :( But apart from that: Great! :D
This happened because they had a certain limit on how long they could have the single (22 minutes), and as it was the official IIHF single, Ti Sento and Metropolis took priority. I hope they will do an exclusive online only release or something though.

Is it necessary to open a new thread for every track of a new single? :S

AFAIK there is no time limit for Maxi CD's that says if the running time is longer than 22 mins it can't be listed as a single anymore and thus can't enter the charts. There are tons of artists who are releasing single's with way more than 22 mins running time and they're counted as single and enter the charts.

I think it's stupid if a time limit is gonna decide if it's a single or an album.
It's the artist themselves who decides it, damnit!

And, what about artists like ATB or Sash, who could easily get 7-8 remixes for a single.
In that case, you can talk about a total time on waaaay more than 22 mins for a single...

That's why there simply can't be a time limit for singles. Other artists like Sash and ATb, like you mentioned, or even Rammstein, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and lots of others have singles out there which have a running time longer than 40 minutes. So I don't get why the club mix is only 3 and a half minutes long. They've never done a club mix this short before. But oh well...it still rocks :D

and don't forget, that ATB is under contract at Kontor. So, you can imagine now who is the real punching bag: not the record company...

WHy couldn't they have dropped the Extended mix, and made the Radio Edit and Club Mix longer?

I don't understand this 22-minute thing either, but I can't buy the explanation that making a longer single would be more expensive and they don't want to pay extra: it simply doesn't make any sense -- I don't know how cd-printing is priced (or if they even pay anything for it, I don't know if Kontor has its own printing facility), and of course it depends where they're made etc., but I think it's the same price for cd no matter how much data there is. And even if it were paid by the minute, the technology is so good and fast it simply couldn't take more (in the worst case) than like 10 cents to have 10-20 minutes more, and I just CAN'T see HP or any of the guys going "NO WAY, I absolutely need that 30e extra I'd get from this single if it was shorter!!"
 This is a signature.

i think it is money related, but compare scooter singles to most artists, scooter can easaly doulble the count, so it would cost a lot in term, expacily if the single dont do well in the charts, scooter at times have released up to 6-7 singles a year

I have never been able to find anything about the 22 mins

35

But Scooter themselves already have released singles that have a longer running time than 22 minutes:

Jumping all over the world - 23:04 minutes
J'adore hardcore - 23:24 minutes
Ti Sento - 23:40 minutes

It's not much over 22 minutes, but it is. So there either is a different time limit, or the whole time limit thing is just complete nonsense, which I think/hope it is, as apart I've never heard anything from other artists about such a limit.

Me neither, but according to some there is such a limit. I won't say there isn't one because I don't know it, but I searched and also couldn't find anything concerning this limit :S

The 22 minutes time-limit ist pure nonsense. There is nothing like this. Or at least it won't cost more to burn a CD. It is not important if the CD is 20 minutes or 40 minutes long.
Me and some of my friends made a DVD and give it to a company to make it for us. And they made the costs equal, they didn't care whether it was a 90 minutes or a 100 minutes movie. The money were the same. Only the print costs can change. It depends on if you want to make just a black-white cover or with colours.
Anyway if the prices for a DVD does not change, the prices for a CD-Single (!) won't have a change either.

My guess is: it is (one more time) just a damn commercial thing. The times where Scooter show that they also can produce nice club stuff and made awesome extended mixes are over. Even in this area they start to make it as commercial as it can be. Otherwise I do not understand why a club mix is only 3:25 minutes long. I mean, 3,5 minutes for a club mix? Maybe they think: "okay, well a club mix, but we should make it shorter than before becuase the radio kids do not like these long mixes and skip the track. Make it a radio-like one".
And the extended version is as long as a normal radio edit. What the heck were they thinking? An extended mix should not be as commercial as the radio edit. It is for the people who like extended versions and do not care about radio lengths. They just want to enjoy a more "epic" version of a track.
So this is my theory. If it is right, Scooter just made another step down with their reputation, at least for me. Otherwise I do not know why the single is full of little pieces but not one nicely worked out track. Like I said, the CD-limit is just dumb.

This thought sound plausible, yes ;) They have gained many new radio kid fans with the jumpstyle.

I know a lot of artists who only release a single with 1 or 2 tracks. They have no extended mix, no remixes (or just one) and no b-side at all...
If you compare the I'm Lonely single to Keshas Tik Tok single...

I'm Lonely:
radio edit
club mix
extended mix
b-side
the I'm Lonely video
making of the video
tour photos

Tik Tok:
radio edit
remix

I'm glad Scooter still produce extended/club mixes and a nice b-side
