I personally have no problem with you doing this, but what would you do differently?

somehow i agree with imre. I think he would like to change most of the categories because if we do it like the last one it's damn predictable and we all know from now on who's gonna win the "posthunter" and "the most fanatik" awards. We need to come up with something new,fresh,creative with no predictable results.

I'm not sure yet... as I said, the main problem is that some categories' results would be self-explanatory from the start. There's no need for "posthunter", "best fansite", "best moderator" etc. categories since there wouldn't be a real competition there. The game needs something NEW, to give the new members some enthusiasm or something. The whole awards thing looked like 20 people's fun who know each other well, but the "outsiders" are locked out.

Imagine someone came to the forum abot a month ago... (s)he wouldn't stand a chance in neither category, and that would pretty much debunk him/her

@Will: you can have a go if you want, no problem with that

But I suggest to come up with some new ideas together, so the awards can involve a lot of contestants.

What about...

Coolest user name, best signature, oldest, youngest, biggest loner (someone on the forum who is the only common visiting member from their country), instead of the funniest maybe we could have the LEAST funniest.

Just a few ideas. People should not take offence at any of these as it's all for fun!

Imre, I didn't wanna do it last year but nobody else would do it so I felt obliged to make it. Trust me, I had no interest in taking on the job so that's why I palmed it off to someone else this year.

Indeed, let's make it a fresh this year.

Best new-member could be a category, for people who joined in 2009.
