That's strange, but I had a bad feeling in the last days.
No good promotion, and after the album and the last singles, the most non-Scooter fans aren't interested in another new single. I think it's the best time for a fantastic tour!! Can't wait!

BTW: This single is so great, cant' believe it..

i think the uk album would have done better is they had saved it and released it next year around april or may because there is to much competition around this time because basically all musicians release albums for christmas.

I don't think Scooter released TSAMH just because the fans wanted so.

I think that was a coincidence. Scooter knew what they were going to release before the fans wanted TSAMH. Scooter didn't wait to see what fans want for a release to release it.

It's 2,99 Euro's in CD shops, so not that expensive, and other singles were also released as 2-tracks. The most Ti Sento releases I saw in shops were 2-track only, for example in Saturn they had only the 2-track Ti Sento, also for 2,99 Euro's ;) So the 2-track release is not the reason for this..... but still I don't give up hope that TSAMH goes up, because there are still some days to go before the exact chartposition will be know, I think this Tuesday we will know it ;)
But ofcourse with a 2-track + 4-track release fans buy both, so that increases the sales number ;)

I don't think it's because of the different style - "I'm raving" had a different style too and was a top hit (#5 and gold in Germany). And I don't think it's because of the lacking C-Part - I don't know if a real C-Part would have raised the song among 10-15 ranks. "Lass uns tanzen" for example was even more repetitive and even more different and it reached #17.
I guess it's because of the lacking promotion - the track was almost not shown on TV, there is still "Ti Sento" even in the ringtone advertisement. And people need to get used to a different track by listening to it several times. But without airplay people can't get used to it.
Scooter should return to their old single-release policy for the next album (2-3,5 months between 2 singles) to have more time for promoting a single and for making people hungry for a new single (maybe the masses is still overfed with Scooter because of 4 releases - 3 singles, 1 album since August).

We,the fans, wanted TSAMH as we heard it in the album version.
We,the fans, did not know of the changes that Scooter will do to the single edit, thus we the fans are not to blame.
The album version is harder and clubby like the good ol' times with the touch of the new times (the autotune),and the single version is more mellow (and weak).
I don't see how the bagpipes are connected with the overall mood of the track, even the video doesn't help to convey the connection.Come on,where would you see people raving and raving even more to the sight of bagpipes, they just don't fit to a party mood.

Maybe the problem is that a 2 track single (with one weak track) is quickly forgettable and thus people don't see the reason to buy it.

For me Where The Beats or Stuck On Replay have chart-smashing potentials in their original versions.
(I maybe wrong-as I truly believed that Ti Sento had it too-but wasn't as big as I hoped.

I'm raving had a unique overall ambience through the entire track, here the bagpipes sound as if the make the party to end.

I don't know how exactly to convey my message, but I don't like the sudden "mood-swings" in TSAMH.
It's maybe like the continuity issue in movies-where there is a person who is responsible for the scene to look exactly the same between cuts, like you would find strange to see a man drinking from red cup,and then they show him again with a green cup.

The same with TSAMH,the continuity of the clubby mood stops with the (unconnected) bagpipes.

Of course it's hard for Scooter to compete with so called pop Christmas "anthems" like the one you mentioned+all the mega stars who make Christmas editions and everyone will buy it time and time again as a gift which isn't too expensive (remember we do live in times of financial crisis).

Has Scooter had any significant success with singles that were released close to Christmas?
Maybe it's just not a good timing for a single?

I think I am the only one who is happy about this.
TSAMH single edit is pure lazyness (at least by HP and except the video of course) and it shouldn't receive a high chart position...

Really interesting how mood is changing here because of a bad chart position!
After listening to the album version nearly everyone said "wow, epic track", there was a topic "Is TSAMH the best Scooter song ever?" etc.. We all had almost the same opinion: replace the rushed "In my arms"-parts by something different and this track will be a bomb as single release. And please no SOR-single!
And now?
Everyone is moaning and saying:"SOR had more single potential, we miss the hard in-my-arms-parts etc."
Folks -in my opinion this single version is still a very good track and the main cause for the lacking success is according to my opinion the bad release policy (nearly each 1-2 months a new single, almost no time for promotion, release before Christmas when even Ramp was doing not so well at first...)

Firstly...I can't...I really CAN'T describe you how angry, mad and sad I am because of poor sales of this great single. ;( ;( ;(
I still think it's a musical perfection that only Scooter can made, and it definitely is one of my all time favorite Scooter songs.
I am sad because of lack of chart success...but, f.u.c.k. the charts! :cursing:
I love the single and nobody can change that!
We don't need a knife, we don't need a gun...all we need is Scooter and some fun! :)

Quoted

Everyone is moaning and saying:"SOR had more single potential, we miss the hard in-my-arms-parts etc."
Well spotted!

The mood has certainly gone about a complete 180º turn in light of the undesirable chart position. I think I've been among a minority myself when I stated the album version reached a certain level of perfection on its own merits, and condensing it to fit a single release would of been ill-advised. Stepping outside of Scooters fabric, so to speak, will always leave them vulnerable to disaster as satisfactorily demonstrated by the poor performance of this track. Let this be a lesson to them in the future-- stick to the tracks with the detectable Scooter spirit. Incidentally, I just love HPV singles. Who doesn't? :S

Having said that though, it's not a bad track. I elaborated on why I thought the album version was superior to its single release counterpart, and I didn't hide my disappointment when I heard the track for the first time through Kontors Youtube page. There are some really terrific elements in the track; the inclusion of the bag pipes being one of them. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver like J'adore Hardcore or Ti Sento. Even with a little more promotion or a more suitable release date, I still think this single would have flunked on account of its inability to impress. The hardcore fans are happy though of course...
