I know what you mean.
As I've heard, TH's music are arranged and written by their producers, they only play it on stage and do interviews and such.

The only reason why they achieve so high positions, I hardly believe is ONLY because almost every girl between 11 and 16 are crazy after them, and them, not the music.
Just like the girl I know, who's completely fanatically insane about them.

I don't like them very much, but a few songs are really good made.

I don't think that you can compare Rammstein with Scooter.
The really really great thing at Scooter is, that they don't need years to release the next stuff.
Scooter is party music, a wonderful feeling with so much energy in it.

BTW: I heard that it will be the last album from Rammstein, because of such disagreements in the band?!

There are always rumours that the latest Rammstein album is their last one. But yeah, Richard (on of the guitarists) said that right now there are no plans to go back to the studio again and that he really doesn't want to, as making "Liebe ist für alle da" was really tough. He rather could imagine to continue touring without a new album. He even mentioned that he had ideas for an Unplugged concert.

But I didn't expect a new album within the next 4 years anyway, as they're touring for the next 2 years and are going to give 200-300 concerts in that time. I'm just happy that this record is out now and it's awesome!!!

OK...I agree.
I just wanted to say that It's stupid to see some other lower quality bands (Such as TH) on better positions than Scooter, that's all... 8)

Ok, understood. 8) I just felt that i have to defend Rammstein a bit here 'cause they really make great music. They aren't low quality band.

But yes, I wouldn't care either if Scooter was the least selling band in the world. Their music is so close to my heart that I don't care about sales. I listen to the music I like not the music that sells well. But if the music I like also hapens to sells well that's ok too. It's, however, the band's problem wether their music is selling or not.

I relly hope that this ain't Rammsteins last album. ;( But there have always been rumours around them so...

Well it's the bands problem, but a bad selling band can also be a problem for fans, because of bad sales the band might stop making music because they think nobody likes them. So it's always important that ones favourite bands sells very good, so that they will exist for years to come ;)

@ ScooterPosseLeipzig: Well said...
@ Cassandra: You definitely don't need to defend Rammstein...I am not against them, so if you like their music, that's OK.

I love Scooter and it's always a pleasure when they have success with album or single...that's all...and, as you said...I wouldn't love them less if they were not so successful...music matters, not success... but it's always nice if there's both of that. ;)
We don't need a knife, we don't need a gun...all we need is Scooter and some fun! :)

That is also a bad thing, to presume nobody likes your music just because your albums sell bad.
But, a band like Scooter, who's using only electronic instruments, computers etc. to make their music, needs alot of electric power in the producing process, I believe, and if they don't sell much albums and earns money, I imagine they wouldn't keep it on if they couldn't affort the money going lost in el.power in the process.

A stupid thought, maybe, but...

Succes is very important ;) The music is the bands job, and if you have a job you also need to earn enough, otherwise you will stop and change the job ;)

Yeah - money is one's source to survive, today, and a band's job, thinking about the money going out in the production process and so on, depends on good sales and money earned.
if they can't affort keeping the studio and the production alive, they can't make any music, and then, they're litterally dead.

@ Matija: Ok. ;) You just seemed to be pretty angry at Rammstein yesterday for the reasons I didn't understand. But ok, I understand on some level why you felt that way. It's ok from my side too. ;)

@ Ed: Being successful is important somehow, yes. I understand your point. But all this discussion about sales and sales is a bit funny... Like it was the only thing that matters. But of course low sells can make the band think that they aren't loved. But for an old band like Scooter I think it's pretty clear that we, fans, really do love them. They can come here and take a look what we tell here.

For example Pussycat Dolls sell hell of a lot but what does it tell about their music? Nothing. It just tells about stupid people IMO. All this over produced nowadays non-creative stuff which some people also call music fo some reason is just a joke. And I don't want to see Scooter drop their level to archieve that kind of success what all these plastic groups have. It's better to be abit less selling and make good music even if average people don't wanna buy it.

I also believe and hope that some of them is reading this forum so that they know what we think about them, their music, gigs and everything. Feed back is more important than just sales when the sales aren't however minimum but pretty huge amounts. 8)

Yeah, it would be sad for them if no one gave them feedback, although the sales would indicate that they had fans.

But fortunately they don't need to be sad. The album is selling well and we are giving the feedback and coming to see them to the next tour. ;)

And that's the case with RAMMSTEIN too. :D (As this actually is a R+ topic. :D :D :D )

Even if I'm a total dance music fan, I do like some of their tracks.
Du Hast, Sonne and Feuir Frei, and even Pusy are quiet decent :)

And fade away just like our love that died
And there is nowhere in this universe to hide

P***y must be the funniest track from the band EVER! :P :D :D :D Well, rest of the album is less funny maybe but there's always some kind of humour in their music even if it really is.. well, strange. :D
