It's so stupid... there's no rules to tell what music you should like at this or that age... :pinch:

It's the social pressure. I cannot say I'm free of social pressure but I don't care too much what other people think of this and that. It's their problem what they think not mine.

In our wedding last May people came to thank us for playing Scooter in the party. :P Many many people really love Scooter but social pressure makes them too unsecure to say it out loud. And that's 'cause Scooter ain't real music. Ha-ha! :D How low can the self esteem be? 8|

My sister has a friend, and her brother has written on his profile in an official Norwegian internet community, that trance is NOT real music, because it's not made with real instruments...
And he told people to copy that part to their own profile if they "hated" trance X( Stupid moron...

Haha, and I made a similar thing on my profile there, which says that music is music, no matter what it's made with :D

I've had this said to me before :P The dictionary definition of a musical instrument is:

A musical instrument is an object constructed or used for the purpose of making the sounds of music

Synths are instruments, and I bet alot of rock fans would agree (Especially of bands like Nine Inch Nails, for example.) and them and drums are what makes trance :P People should think before they speak :P

Anyway, I can't see myself Growing out of Scooter. My music tastes did wander when we were waiting for the new album, but I never stopped listening to Scooter. :D

Many metal bands uses synths and keyboards as well.
Look at Nightwish - Tuomas Holopainen uses keyboards in all their songs, both in studio and live - it's just as important for their music as the drums and guitars.

Quoted

A musical instrument is an object constructed or used for the purpose of making the sounds of music

so a computer can be an instrument, too :D

A pc, a synth, guitars, drums - they're all as much an instrument as the others, because if you make music, the tool you're using, being a guitar or a computer, is an instrument as long as you can use it to make music 8)

Music is music however it's made. ;) No one can say that for example Jarre's music ain't music. But he uses very wide range of instruments for his music. And they aren't very traditional all.

Exactly - he used a great diversity of synths and things I don't know the name of.
But he made wonderful, relaxing music, with electronic instruments, and just because it's synths, you can't say that it's not music ;)

And he uses. ;) According to my knowlege Jarre is sill on the case. He had a great gig in Helsinki last in last December. I'm not sure if he visited Finland this year too. He used there an electronic harp. You can find videos from the gig from Youtube. I wasn't there but have watched the videos. ;)

Yeah, I know he's still touring and playing everywhere - but his Oxygene songs were made in the late 70's, and I was thinking about them ;)

I saw him in Birmingham in May, and I was amazed. :D

I would love to own some of the synths he uses, and there was one on ebay which he used for his famous laser harp sounds, and it was a but it now for £5,499.00! And it has been sold, too...
Oxygene, despite being made in the 70's, has still not grown old, and I doubt it will for a long time... :)

I was just going to say I saw Jarre in May - but Will beat me....... I also saw him last year on the Oxegene tour when he played with the original old instruments from 30 years ago when he recorded Oxygene :-)

Yeah, the Oxygen tour was very nice. I thought I was dreaming when I saw the tour was called Live In Your Living Room. I was listening to his music maaaaany times in our living room back in the seventies :) And the whole experience was unexpectedly perfect.
I found out and got the tickets 2 days before the concert, had a very nice dinner at Cirkus (the concert hall) before and could shake hands and talk to him after the concert.
I was walking on air for at least two weeks after that

I will grow out of it. It will be 50-60 years from now, I will be under ground in a wooden box, being eaten by little creatures.
If you love me or you hate me, I don't give a DAMN!

Ha-ha! :D :D

I think I'll continue haunting after my death. So if someone hears little steps or jumps :D it's just me dancing to the Scooter beat. We'll have a party together with the band. Probably they are gone that time too so the party continues "somewhere else".
