Is dance/happy techno/hands up! really back?

After a long period of hip hop and house hands up!/dance seems to be back again because there were a few hits: -Bassunter's "Boten Anna", Cascada's "Everytime we touch" and now Scooter's "The question...?".
I'm glad about this development because house is too soft, overmixed and unmelodic in my eyes (e. g. "Put your hands up for detroit" - always the same beats and the same shouts during the whole song) and so I hope the DJs in my region will change their sound from "Black'n'Beats" to "Dance" or "Jumpstyle".
But nevertheless Scooter, Cascada and company could show more fresh ideas - female vocals/high pitched voices and synthie melodies were already popular in 2002. Listening to "Future Trance Vol. 41" I recognize so much songs that were covered about 100 times - "Heaven", "Summer of 69", "Explode"... .

Sorry but I couldn't resist to post in here. Why do you put Cascada and Scooter in the same sentence? I don't want to sound harsh or to insult you, but seriously man, Cascada is just another **** pop singer with some local unknown DJs to try to do music in some way, but so far they fail badly. All of the Cascada songs are alike, same bass line, same bass drum, melodies are cheesy and again sound the same, just mixed...the lyrics are all about teeny sad stories how she needs someone to **** her *** and so on... All of this is true, despite the success Cascada is just a big joke. Having her and Scooter in something like a same group makes me cry, our favorite band is miles away, even if their new stuff are lame, Scooter is a legend, not just a one hit wonder project.

I couldn't agree more with Alucard & How Much Is The Fish?!? Cascada and Basshunter just suck IMO.

I didn't put them together according to the quality of their songs, I put them together because they are NOT belonging to the genres black or house, they are all artists you can find under descriptions like "Hands up!" or "Dance".
In my post I critized the lack of ideas in newer songs (female voice plus bass sounded fresh in 2001 but not today), I never wrote that Cascada for example released fresh and innovative songs

What are good dance dance revolution games for the PC? I've been hearing very good things about the video game dance dance revolution being used for excersize. We don't own a PS2 or video game console but we do have a PC. I'd like to purchase some Win XP PC DDR games if they are available.

you scooter fans are strange sometimes. Scooter makes also commerical hands up music like cascada and basshunter. And by the way, there are many nice hands up tracks out there.

Because it's mainly the same music genere

Just like Groove Coverage, Brooklyn Bounce, Master Blaster and Scooter

Better this than lyrics about nothing.

Dance, Hands Up, Techno

I agree: You can`t put Scooter, Cascada and Basshunter together. Each of them makes his own sort of music, not compareable!
But at last, I like each of them! also Groove Coverage, Starsplash, Gigi D`Agostino and many more.....

All those lame and predictable projects like Cascada, Basshunter, Master Blaster, Franky Tunes (the guy who releases one track few times...), Groove Coverage, Brooklyn Bounce, Warp Brothers and many more, just don't deserve to be compared with Scooter. Nowdays Scooter is also predictable and even more cheesy than it used to be, but they are still on a level above all of those artists, which my mind can't bare how are some of them so successful...

It's maybe cheap... But it has hitpotentions... People buy or download these kind of tracks because they like it.

Other people may listen to Megadeth, Bullet For My Valentine, Beyonce, Lil' Wayne or maybe Beethoven.
So what??? Everybody has got there own taste in music... So everybody has got an other opion about music! Bla bla bla... Haha

Yeah but some people's opinion is wrong and some people's opinion is right. Mu music taste is better than most people, for example.

Well, I don't understand how some people can love country and rap instead of trance...

But it's their decision, and taste :)
