I often help users who have a problem while trying to register on the forum, and I know there are others who don't understand German and the registration form.

I hope this topic will help new members who are having trouble registering understand why, and what to do.

A long time ago Dave started a topic that translated the registration form into English, and other members translated it into other languages.

I know this is a very useful topic, and I have often sent a link to it to help non-German speakers register, so if you don't understand the registration form have a look at this topic:

There are some possible problems you may encounter during registration, which will result in one or more of the following messages being displayed after you press “Absenden”:

Der gewünschte Benutzername ist leider bereits belegt. - The user name you have chosen is already in use – you should choose another username

Die angegebene Mailadresse wurde vom Administrator gesperrt - The specified mail address has been blocked by the administrator.
This is usually because we get a lot of spam on the forum from spammers using this email provider. If you do not have another email address (for example a hotmail address) email me (or another admin) and I will help you register by temporarily removing the block until you have registered.


Die angegebene Mailadresse wird bereits von einem anderen Benutzer verwendet - T he specified mail address is already used by another user. This sometimes occurs if someone tries to register, but for some reason the account is not activated, then they try again later with the same email address. Even if the account is not activated the details remain in the database unless the account is deleted. If you have this problem either register with a different email address, or email me (or another admin) and we can try to find the other account using the email address and either activate it for you or delete it.

Du musst zweimal das gleiche Passwort eingeben. - The Passwords you have entered don’t match – input the password again


Der gewünschte Benutzername wurde vom Administrator gesperrt - You have chosen a username that contains a string of characters that have been disallowed for use in user names – you should choose another username

When you have successfully completed the registration form and pressed Absenden, you will be sent an email to active the account. The email will look something like this:

Subject: Willkommen auf SCOOTERTECHNO.COM

To complete registration, and activate your account you need click the link in the email.

You should then be able to log onto the forum.

If you can’t log-in after activating the account through the link then email me or one of the other admins and we can check that the account has been activated correctly.

If you want to join the forum and encounter any problems – don’t give up – email me, and I will try to help you with registration as soon as I can.

I have looked at all the real new members from the past few weeks, and did not find any with gmail, but if it is a problem I will unblock it - I hope the spam problem from there will go soon - but for the last month or so we are probably getting about 25 - 30 spammers with gmail joining a day.

If it does cause anyone a problem I really would like to know - I don't want to stop anyone joining - but I also want to try to limit the amount of porn posted on the forum
