Mind The Gap

im currently listening to the whole thing at once. I rarely listen to whole albums. This one has an interesting vibe that comes with it. Although the tracks are really different from eachother and some of them are different from the scooter we had been used to at the time it was released, this album also has a freshness from the experimentation in some of its parts and also it has the strange feeling of unfimiliarity, of something uncertain in its nature, it was the first scooter album that was not a 100 % perfect release and it was giving away the fact, that scooter are almost exhausted and will never be the same...
I now miss even those time alot :(

Hm, yeah. I will have to agree with that even this album is not so great, I miss it too because it still does give us some more real Scooter sounds than the current stuff.
And let's not forget the album hosts jewels like The Chaser, Trance-Atlantic, Trip To Nowhere and Jigga Jigga.
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide
And fade away just like our love that died
And there is nowhere in this universe to hide
From you tonight...

I don't know, I think it's tosh. I'm not greatly fond of Mind the Gap, much as though I love All I wanna Do and My Eyes are Dry. 8) It's a good album, but not in my top 5 to be honest.

I like the clubmix of Trance-Atlantic better than the original on MTG, cos it's not so damn long.

i really don't understand it when people say "REAL SCOOTER" because they've always changed. to me the 'real scooter' is now, possibly because it is my favourite.

maybe people should call it "my kind of scooter" as that would be more appropriate.

the last album and radio edit yes. but I'm lonely radio edit and way up north were both great. also the melody in the hi hat song has something promising.

yes, both amazingly good. the only thing I 'dislike' on soultrain is the bassdrum. scooter used it a lot in 2003 and somehow I'm not keen on those bassdrums. but a track like soultrain is always welcome on the new album.

Yes, they changed from album to album, but all albums had and still have the Scooter vibe / feeling in it, no matter what music style they use. 8)

But people have favourite chapters, and that's for sure connected whit the time one has become a fan of the band. Because the actuall Scooter differs quite a lot from the Scooter from 1994. It's still Scooter, but different, but still very recognisable.

Now we have for example far more lyrics in lyricall track's and the lyrics are more complex than in the first year's. That's the biggest change. And much songs have got less BPM as in the past for example.....so some people who loved the 1st chapter might not like the actual track's, not because the track's are bad, but because of personal reasons and personal taste.

gee tee's right in that it's an imperfect album. but personally it's one of my favourites. it's got more variety than the average scooter album as it is indeed experimental. the reason i love it so much is that it has a lot of my favourite tracks on it including 'one, jigga jigga, the chaser, trance-atlantic, and all i wanna do'. suavemente is also quite good. it's a pity they screwed up the single version royally. these good tracks tend to balance out the failures ('shake that', 'the avenger's back').

Yeah -- MTG is kind of like the Sheffield of the 3rd chapter. :) I too think it's their more experimental stuff.
 This is a signature.

I don't see it like that. For me the Sheffield album is real Scooter and MtG is a bit odd album. But that depends on my own feelings too. MtG was released at the time when my life changed a lot so that album brings me back a bit nasty feelings. But there are good songs also on that album. But it's not my fave. Not even near to that.
