Ok, now that I’ve listened to every song 3 or 4 times, here is my review :

Acid_bomb – Music Is For Losers :

I can hear some inaccuracies with the placement of the loops, I mean sometime it seems to me that they don’t follow correctly each other, but despite this technical aspect, I still like this track very much, because of ist chaotic originality, there is a good variety of sounds and even a kind of structure in it, nice to hear you stopped to distort the sounds to the extreme like you did on some of the previous episodes
All in all, good job mate
Btw. I don’t agree with the title at all :p

Alopex (Edit) – RePolarization :

There is a nice arpeggio in the first part of the track, the developement of the arrangement is well done, bassdrum is banging and very well put in the mix, I don’t like the lead that comes at about 2 min, it litterally eats the rest of the instruments.
Refrain has a nice chilling pad :shock:
But, where ist the bassline ?? Adding a bassline would put more energy to this track.

Amethyst – The Lonely Pirate :

Yeah baby This is a very good track, trancy and uplifting, with a good mastering, so that every instrument sound clear in my ears. The idea to use the main melody as a whisteled intro and outro is excellent. It lasts more than 6 min but I didn’t get bored at all
Overall, nice, nice tune mate !

Craig Sim – Alive :

And again, another nice trance tune, this on brings a nice atmosphere, but I would have put more FX in it, and adding something like a female voice in the break would certainly enhance a lot the amount of feelings/emotions this track can possibly bring

Delta Key – Derb :

Some parts are great, especially the lead synth that appears from 1 :20, but too short , after that, adding some more sounds or FX could be a good idea, because it’s a bit too empty imo. The main melody is cool but it doesn’t bring enough energy, it could be a banging hardstyle part if there were an appropriate bassdrum and bassline

DJ Flatline – Absinthe :

Whoo, badass track we got there I can see clearly a relationship between the title and the music, which is not always the case nowadays
I definitively like this terrific atmosphere, the alternance between calm and energetic parts is very well organised, the bassline is very well put in the mix, congrats fot this one =)

DJ Kuon – All Systems Corrupted :

Well that’s my track, hope MC-ing was okay despite my french accent :p

Firedancer – Psycho :

There is some problems with the mastering, some sounds get sometimes distorted, this could be corrected with a wise use of compressor in the mastering process, bassline needs an equalizer, frequencies aren’t optimals in this one. The structure and the ideas are faire enough, the problem is that this tune just needs some technical improvements

Gee Tee Age – Raving In Texas :

I already know this track from your myspace mate, so it’s a pleasure to hear it with enhanced quality, I have nothing to say about the mastering, it just fits perfectly in my hears, respect !! Main melody is wonderful, one of the best I’ve heard from you so far
Definitively on of my favs =)

H T J V – S I X H O R S E S (Uncle-Dave’s Exclusive Edit) :

This track is missing some more additional sounds/effects and FX, soi t gets boring after 2mins. I still appreciate the good bassline that brings quite an amout of good energy, some more variety in the main melody could be benefic however.

Klatschmohn – Waterfront :

Oh yeah this is a hell of a track, high_BPM brings a lot of energy, piano parts fits very well with the great arpeggiated synth, the transition at about 1 :12 is way too brutal imo Somehow it brings back the good old energy of 1st chapter of Scooter, actually this tune reminds me Coldwater Canyon
Very good job my friend, I wish I’d hear more music in this style

Massive tudom – Neurotic 13 :

There could be some improvements in the mastering, bassline is cool but too loud, the main melody is quite hidden because of this, oh, some more variety in the FXes could bring a lot more energy in this track. The tune itself is quite catchy it has the potential to turn in a really cool hardstyle/hardcore track :twisted:

Mev – Sands Of Time :

Me like the orchestral part that begins from about 2:30, the flute (?) brings a very good emotion, is that melancholy ? :p
After that it’s unfortunately too empty, can’t hear any bassline
So there’s a general lack of energy in this tune

San Marco – Anthraxx Reloaded :

Finally a pure hardstyle track !! I like the beginning, typical from hardstyle tunes, it makes me impatient to hear the main lead that follows :o
Speaking of this, I was quite surprised when I first heard it, it’s quite bizarre and unconventionnal, but it turns out as a very nice track ! I wouls have added a snare to make it more rythmical, offbeat bassline could be better however.
This is a nice work mate, I was very pleased to hear this, thank you =)

Scooter – Leave In Silence ( Rossi Remix) :

Sorry, but when it comes to remix one of my favorite songs ever of Scooter, i do have high expectations !
Unfortunately, without the voice, this track loses its main source of flow, and it doesn’t sound the same at all, i’m way too used to hear it with HP’s voice (this is one of rare track that ever made my cry :oops: )
Mastering and arrangement is fair enough, I confess i can’t be fully objective for this one

Slug – Ulterior Motives (Original Mix) :

This can be the blockbuster of this compilation. It’s definitively a high quality dream-trancey tune. It’s very well built, it contains a huge variety of sounds soi t doesn’t get boring, chopped voices are wonderful and I’ve got nothing to criticize about mastering.
Massive mental shouts for this one !! :twisted: :twisted:

TecFire – Maybe :

This track fits very well as an outro of this compilation, because it’s soft and very chilling, the arrangement of pads is really cool, can’t say much about it, it’s just very relaxing, nice work !


All in all, I’ve got a lot of pleasure to hear your guys sounds, I want to thank everyone for their work, espiecially Rotty who took the time for building this new episode of Posse Drums

Ps. Can’t wait for Episode 7, seems that each episode gets better and better

Thanks for the reviews so far. As for the ride cymbal, maybe it is a bit loud, but I had blocked ears back then, when I got them cleaned I heard it but couldn't be bothered fixing it, guess I will next time

I know about side-chaining etc, but I'm lazy! Anyway, I'll take this into account for my next submission to Posse D!
