so technically jaotw is the best selling album cause the cover was cheap, the tracks were cheap and made in +- 1 month and it sold more copies than it deserved. so it's simply a brilliant album. worthless and better selling than we bring the noise.

not all of us have been fans as long as you have. i know that you take great pleasure in this fact but face it, half the people here hadn't heard of scooter when that album was released.

yuo may not like the album but you have to give them credit for how they market their products. i'm sure this album has sold 1 miliion copies worldwide now.

personally, i think its a fantastic album and i'm amazed at the short time it took.

by now i would have thought that people would realise that they change with almost every album and i wish people would stop holding onto the past, it's not healthy.

But what we can do if past in our situation is much more brighter then present and (who knows?) future? Let people concentrate on whatever they want.

I find the 2nd and 3rd chapter the best one's, so I hope for a little influence from those days.
But, Scooter is Scooter, they make good tracks whenever the style they use, so I'm happy with it :)

I think with most bands people prefer the music of the first year's.....it has also something to do whit the period of time one started to be a fan......that style that brought you to Scooter will always remain special.......but still I must say I really have no chapter problems, I have favourite track's in every chapter....and I like that Scooter's music is evolving and addapting itself to stay fresh...........and one can't bring back the past, if Scooter for example would make a similar track to No Fate, I recon people would say it's good, but not as good as No Fate was......one can't copy te past.....that's not possible.....and for a band it's not healthy to stay in the past, because people would also loose interest because of this and the existence of a band would be in jeopardy I think.......people change when they get older, so do Scooter, but the music still has the special Scooter feeling for me, regardless what album I listen to.

It's not about new fans, it just that they reach new fans with really. I know you and a lot others don't understand. but if you would live in belgium you would understand me more. ramp! started a revolution just like this album and both were the creative ideas of other people. just the fact that scooter is product and more specific an international, far across europe, product made them have so much success. when the first version of TLS reached gold over here it was a jumptrack. also da boy tommy and da rick reached gold here in '99 with jumptracks. you may know da rick from dht. yeah dht, the ones that once gave us hardcore versions alone and total eclipse of the heart (which you probably don't know), but who now pleasure kids in america with stupid covers of listen to your heart or heaven is a place on earth (the one that also solid solution, and not only them, before them. and what I wanna say is. during those jumping times around the millennium here in belgium scooter stayed scooter. that fucked everybody with faster harder scooter, fuck the millennium or posse (although it didn't reached top 10 here). and today they just copy the jumpstyle and people think they really are listening to jumpstyle and hardstyle if they listen to scooter. and what do the dutch have to say? screwing tracks like I like it loud and always hardcore. scooter never was hardcore. they had a few tracks yeah but that doesn't mean they're hardcore. they were 'happy hardcore'! they played in on the commercial success of the genre in their own style, not by copying it!!!!!!!!!!!! remember the track 'our happy hardcore', that was ideology. something they last because of the fact that their brains are infected by the money making theorie.
and to end a link what jump and hardstyle is over here. you can see the darkraver in it but probably a lot of you have to google first to know who he is.

somehow i have a feeling that Scooter haven't shone in such a light like this before. They're bigger than ever! I can hardly agree with you that the "situation" they are in now is a bad one.

@belgium-dave: i still stick with my previous post that we have to move on. most of us have...

It would be way better if they are not so successful, but instead make creative and own productions in a style that suits them.
It's always easy to relay on other's ideas and we see it bring success in Scooter's case, but come on we need a change.
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide
And fade away just like our love that died

But if a band isn't succesfull, they might get bored by making the music because there is no positive respons to it.,.....and than a band could decide to quit........a band is also a company, it's their job to earn money by making music........and I consider Scooter still to be very creative........I'm always happy for Scooter the more succes they have with their music. :) And if a style suits to a band is always a matter of taste, one fan will say it suits, another one will say it doesn't suit....

Scooter was successful till the start! I think they always had a lot of money and no problems with it. But they hand to pleasure only their first fans, that fans who loved first Scooter sounds. Do ya understand what I mean? :)) They was 'REAL', they loved what they did. Nowadays Scooter creating tracks for a much more larger audience. I think they are not doing the music for themeselfes and for those who loved their FIRST sound. They are doing music for the masses now, for too many people with too different tastes. That's my thoughts. And this is a problem of all the artists who become SUPER STARS and want more and more success and more and more money.

But I still hope that someday Scooter will say: "OK, that's it. We're tired of this uncreative clones. Let's do something different, something that WE will like!". I think that's how it used to be with BTTHWJ album!! It was REAL something!!

Don't get me wrong, I love SOME of new material, but I don't like commercial jump and all this pop oriented large audience simple music.

B-sides are still made be happy for some time and some album tracks. Also I like single version of I'm Lonely.

an album like btthj would be great. +- 5 tracks with a lot of hp in it. 2-3 tracks with a few sentences like psycho and 3-4 instrumentals.

@scooterworld
what is popular? I know what you mean. but does depeche mode still reach # 1 with their singles? take a look at 2 fabiola. no commercial succes at all but still great tracks instead of the silly 'no good' cover. 'no good' isn't original from prodigy either.

why can't scooter be that creative?

Well, Scooter can be very creative, just look at she's the sun for example or lot's of track's on the WBTN album or TUAO album......but I'm always sad that the best quality track's aren't released as a single, and when released aren't a commercial succes, which they deserved to be. :( ........it gives a bad sign to Scooter, because they might think the track's aren't good, but the truth is that those track's are excellent..... but today one is unfortunately only popular if one has commercial succes....nobody's looking at the quality of track's anymore.....atleast not much people.......quality track's don't get the appreciation they deserve ....... :?

well in belgium we still have some pride with sylver and lasgo. their latest tracks are huge and creative. they mostlly always were that way. I even like the new sash but I'm still wondering from which song the vocals are. king of my castle '08 is also a good track. infinity '08 didn't change that much. but I think on commercial dance there's more and more potential again. more housy but not bad at al if you compare it with cascada or dht or even the latest scooters...
