Hey
Davay, nice ava!
Nice conversation about school!
Here in Germany you start scool when you are 6 years old. You go then to the "Grundschule" (something like primary school in England) (lessons normally from 8:00-11:00 or 8:00-13:00 later 2-3 breaks). You go there for 4 years. Then it'll be shown whether you are good in scholl or not so good. There are five kinds of schools:
1. Hauptschule (8:00-13:00 2 breaks):
The weak children go there. (Or the ones who are just too lazy) This is for 5 years then. You don't have so much chances to find a job then... But when you did well then you can go to
2. Realschule (8:00-13:00 2 breaks):
When you are an average good student then you go there after primary school. Or when you finished Hauptschule. This school has for the ones who go there after primary school 6 years. For those from Hauptschule 1 year. If you did well there then you can go to
3. Gymnasium (not the meaning as "gymnasium" in English

) (7:50-(later)16:30 or even later 2 breaks)(beginning:7:50-13:00 1 break)
The best children from primary school go there or the ones who finished Realschule. Only there you can visit after 6 years the Oberstufe to get the Abitur (the best finishing) after another 3 years. The kids from Realschule visit then the Oberstufe.... It's the most important time there because you have to decide which way you want to go. For this you have to find your professions. Soooo..... if you are good then you get the Abitur.
4. Gesamtschule
Hauptschule, Realschule and Gymnasium in one school.... but only for 10 years.... after that you have to go to another Gymnasium.
5. Sonderschule
Children with special (psychical) needs go there
After you get the Abitur you can go to the university to study your professions and after some exams you can start working.
(I hope you guys understand me because i'm very tired from this damn Powi-exam... )
