The new versions of Scooter songs are always the best:

One (Always Hardcore)
The Night
Maria
I'm Lonely
Jumping All Over the World
Jump That Rock
Aiii Shot the DJ
Apache Rocks the Bottom
Suavemente

To name but a few.

By the way, I am glad to finally be posting having lurked here for years. I have been a fan since 1994 and have seen them many times live, most recently was Berlin - Colombiahalle. It was hard building up my CD collection from the UK.

yes HI!

but...you are right - a bit! a lot of reworked tracks from scooter a better than the first version (mostly the album-version) but apache rocks the bottom...great song, but rock bottom is either better or the same...IMO

i find "lighten up the sky" to be one of their best jumpstyle tracks since it was released as a b-side. no matter what they do to this track - even if they leave it the way it is, it's good to have it on an album.
There's nothing more to say.

Can't fully agree with you.
For example, Call Me Manana which you didn't include in your list was changed a lot for the single release, but in my opinion the album version is miles ahead in terms of class.
I really love that album version, it has some great moments and melodies in it, simply love it.
Same goes for Apache Rocks The Bottom and Rock Bottom I guess.
For all the other examples, I will have to agree.
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide
And fade away just like our love that died
And there is nowhere in this universe to hide
From you tonight...

As I found out recently, Aiii Shot The Dj and Fuck The Millennium is alot different as single versions too, than the originals.
But I haven't heard the album versions before either, so...

Let's hope the new version of LUTS will have also such a big difference, I like the 'old' one, but if making a new version out of it, than I hope for much changes to let it sound a bit like a new fresh track :P

I'm sure it'll be very different, they wouldn't describe it as 'a brand new version of "Lighten Up The Sky"' for no reason! :D (That quote take from the official page, see today's news.)

Wonderful!!!
It´s like a Single version of LUTS. HP´s lyrics are nice and the voice itself also sounds wicked! Like it very much :D :D

Woah!! Sounds just massive, I love it! :D I tried not to listen to the sample and instead wait till I have the album, but I couldn't stop myself! The lyrics sound so good! I just can't wait the next new album, hopefully we'll get it in early 2009...
