I think in the USA it is very hard to get popular as a foreign band that don't plays the style that's popular in the USA.

Do you remember the russian girls band TATU ? :

and where are they now?

There's always a chance that "Crank it up" may be the Scooter song to break into the American Charts.

If they would use it for the "Bruno" movie as intro song, just as they do with the series, and say that it's Scooter, than it could be promo for Scooter in the USA indeed.

Really? One hit wonders? I find that strange you should say that, because "All the things she said" was #1 for 4 weeks here. And then the follow up single, "Not Gonna Get us", got to #7 at its peak. And then "All about us" made #8. :D So, t.A.T.u are no one hit wonders in the UK.

It's ironic actually, you saying that. Because people say that about Scooter, despite it not being actually true. Ignorance is bliss!

I just think it was all very rushed, that had some good songs but released them so close together and haven't had anything to give us since. I liked their music, but they obiously worked their whole lives on these songs and haven't been able to come up with the goods since.

More like a one-time-wonder.

I suppose. But all I'm saying is... what are they doing now? Will they ever do as well as they've done before? Probably not. :?

Now they are not interested even in Russia. As far as I remembef They lost their popularity at the beginning of last year.
Their last hit was "Friend or foe"
Riding with me is my friend R.J.Jordan,
Knowing the rules aint part of his program,
Finding the right tune that fits the track,
Might be pretty hard cuz he's f_cked on crack!

Start the match and find the station
Reach what you can and party the nation,
A? Hey! Whatcha gonna say?
I automate the sequence and speed for my getaway
Take it to the edge, there's nowhere to hide,
And call up the crew; let's go for a joyride!

Let's go for a joyride!

It's been out for quite a while- when it was released I'm sure a few of us thought it would only last a few weeks in the top 40. :D

So i guess i'm pretty chuffed

A lot has been happening over the course of the past week in the album charts, first and foremost congratulations to Darren Styles. His debut album Skydivin' went straight into the artist album chart at #4 last week and stayed there for a second week on Sunday. Scooters album Jumping All Over The World re-entered the Top 10 on Sunday, climbing again after nearly 2 months on the chart to #8.
