A very very bad joke !

Does anyone know what is going on in France about Scooter ?

I will let you know.
Please be warned about what will follow !

We went yesterday to the 2 biggest CD shops in Paris, as everyone knows Paris is the biggest town of France, right ? Hear me ?

Ok,

We went to FNAC first, so the biggest, we went to the Scooter section and there were only 2 CDs, no JAOTW, I went to ask and the guy said "We ordered one" and I responded I can't find it and he told us the CD got lost in the shop !!!!! That is not it !!!!
Since November, they ordered ONLY 2 CDs of JAOTW and won't order more if no more are sold, but the only one left is LOST, so they won't order more CDs.

We went then to the second : to the biggest Virgin Megastore of the country, and what have we found ? 3 Scooter CDs and no JAOTW, I went to ask to the desk, oh great they had some ... 2... Very interesting. For a very CHEAP price of 29,90 euros !!!!!

What do they expect ? That people will buy a 30 euros album ?????????

THIS IS TRULY A SHAME, A SHAME, HEAR ME ?
I told them they're famous everywhere and are in the top Europe, very good position, and he nearly told me to fuck off...
Very nice. Very good joke.

Don't you think this is a TRUE SHAME ?????
ORDERING ONLY 2 CDS SINCE IT'S OUT, and selling it 28 euros for Regular edition is not what I call CHEAP !

Then I emailed Scorpio music like 4 times already and they never responded !!! Their site is down for like 3 years and they don't respond to ANYTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is their problem in France ?????

That sounds awful. :(

I guess you gotta rely on Amazon etc, it was like that over here in the UK for a few years. :(

Of course I use amazon since I never buy any CDs in French records shop... But I know that if I buy some in French stores, they'll order more CDs, so from now I'll order all my singles from french stores ;) They had I'm Lonely + 2 tracks yesterday night, I bought them both, and spread the others in front of some other CDs to cover the larger area as possible with Scooter CD for advert !
We also placed a JAOTW album between Madonna's legs since it was at the top of her CDs and there was that big poster, the middle is between the legs, looks cheesy but we had a good laugh :D At least a lot of people will see the CD since everybody looks down there most of the time (human nature).

The thing is, both Scooter's french label and CD shops are lazy âssholes and don't get Scooter to work out there, this is a SHAME !

Maddy thats how it was over here for the last 2-3 years. Hopefully France will get TQIWITQ/JAOTW release and things will change.

Yes - would be great if the same happened in France as has happened here :)

I can't remember the last time I saw a Scooter album in a store (though, I haven't even looked in the last couple of years, but still. I can't find any of the albums I am actually looking for either (though I haven't looked for any album in a physical store in the last couple of years)), but with internet, ebay, amazon and so forth, who the fuck cares?

Quoted from ""Destillery""

but with internet, ebay, amazon and so forth, who the f##k cares?

People won't notice the cd, they won't hear anything about it, they don't even know it exists. If they see it in store they're more likely to buy it or at least ask to have a listen at the store or whatever and get to know the band.

Edit: And also to say, the situation in France seems really bad at the moment! Hopefully it will improve.

And Maddy forgot to say that when we asked for JAOTW in FNAC shop, they answered : "yes we have one, it's an Australian Import !"
Since when JAOTW is available in Australia ?
Really pathetic...
But we laughed a lot with Madonna's poster and cds, we also noticed that some cds are bad printed, the backcover is inverted (the top is at the bottom...)
We were really desperate about Scooter's situation in France, so f****** stupid promotion... :?

Maybe some one could get you a copy and send you one?
the cd a few weeks ago cost £4.99 delivered via Play.com

however it's gone up to £8.99
but im sure if you sent some cash via PayPal then somebody would send you the cd to france ;)

She has the album bought elsewhere already, she's only furious it isn't practically sold to French people at all.

Also, agree, those Madonna ads are quite tasteless.

JAOTW has been out in Australia for a while... I've had mine for at least 2 months. Maybe longer.... The only Scooter albums I ever see in stores are JAOTW, TUAO, Excess All Areas, TSTE and PTBFTJ.
