But, David, you can't deny that Scooter came to play in Spain last february ;)
For how long have Scooter not played in France ? Maybe 10 years :cry:

And by the way, Scooter got the biggest record right now !!!! 23 weeks of JAOTW in the top50, this is the most successful of their album ever in Germany :wink:

of course, it was a joke...i´m very upset about scooter never come to france, quite strange, I´ve got a french friend who says the music industry in France is very difficult, there are groups that could have a best-seller all over the world but they´ll never do something similar in France, i don´t know if it´s true, but it could explain that question...


In hte other hand, how many times did scooter make a video in France? 2 at least, and they are so close to your country, so...i´m still upset, hope they will go soon, as France is near of Spain than germany :wink:

Yes they made part of JAOTW in Paris ONLY for the symbol the eiffel tower represent... nothing else !
Then they made FRIENDS but this was in 1995/1996, and they did play a show back at that time, at the REX Club, but you know it was 13 years ago :o

This is true. There are also only a few summer hits from Spain or South America which are successful in Germany and Nothern Europe, because we usually like it harder and darker. But Scooter should really try to reach the French people, because it's the neighbour country of Germany, so concerts and promotion should not be too difficult/expensive over there. Further, not the whole France is a latin country, there are also cooler areas in the mid and the north.

but only according to the weeks in charts.
i don't think scooter care about how long they stay in charts but how many records they sell.
to become the best selling album JAOTW still has to go a long way.
In the year of the lord 1994,
we conquered the floor....

agree. hopefully the next album will be worth to buy it again.


but why is everybody talking about the best selling album :? TSTE has more gold, silver and platina than this album. And in those days you had to sell more copies than nowadays to reach gold...
compare Fire with Nessaja. Fire went gold after 4 weeks ( I read it somewhere) and never reached #1. Nessaja reached gold after +-13 weeks and was 3 weeks on #1.

today is it easlier to get gold. few year ago you must sell more than 150 000 for gold. today is it 100 000. i thing it´s because of the many downloads in the internet. the artist sells less albums.

It is not easier to get gold because less people buy maxi cds. The point where you receive gold was set down because of that. In former times you achieved good selling numbers with a top30 hit, but today you can only consider a top20 or even a top10 hit to be a real success.
